It has happened twice when I was in Microsoft Word. I can be working in Word for hours and all of a sudden I'll try to hit rtn or save and I get the grey screen. It let it sit to see if it will come back and it doesn't so I shut it off using the pwr button.
Can you please help?

Yeah I've noticed many users of Acer's Aspire complaining same problem and i must suggest you to upgrade your software because in many cases Acer gave older version of app and its not compatible with their Crystal Eye webcam. So please go to acer's website & download their latest version of that software from there...

Incedible in one web page I found this solution and its work for me, the problem is the batery, just remove and no more frezee screnss and horizontal lines in color purple, Hope this helpt to you.

go to BIOS by pressing F10 , DEL or F2 key and go to advance and chose first boot device as hard drive , save and exit.
