I cnt detect integrated webcam on dell vostro 1016

Check first if the drivers for the webcam are installed. you can do this by:

1. click start and open control panel
2..(if you're using win vista/7), open device manager and click on the plus sign/arrow beside imaging devices. OR (if you're using windows xp, right click on my computer and select properties. under system properties, go to hardware tab and click on device manager)
3. highlight the device under imaging devices and uninstall. restart the computer after.
4. if that does not work or there is nothing showing under imaging devices, you may download the drivers from the dell website: http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd&ServiceTag=&SystemID=VOS_N_1015&os=WLH&osl=en&catid=&impid=

just make sure you're downloading the driver that is compatible with your operating system
