Are you building any pressure or none at all. If your building some pressure start looking for leaks check the release valve and the regular psi adjuster. Also check all pipe connections as well as your hose connector. dont forget the tank water release valve... if your not building any pressure, check for a pinched inlet or blocked air intake. check the belt from the motor to pump... good luck..

Having a problem with my husky air compressor model #vt6315 not building pressure...it is a belt driven unit & motor will run but belt is not moving to run compressor pump

Remove the belt and try to turn the pump pulley by hand. It should have a little resistance on compression strokes but otherwise turn fairly easily and smoothly. If you have to really lean on it or it won't turn at all you have bearing problems inside the pump. The most common proplem is after running the pump with low, old or no oil, the piston con-rod(s) seize to the crank shaft.

I have a Husky air compressor model WL651004AJ. The problem is that it builds pressure initially up to 75 psi then shuts off. I have to turn off the power switch, wait about 5 minutes, turn the switch back...

It sounds like you need to replace the run capacitor , if yours is weak or defective the motor will overheat. Check "Drillspot" for a replacement. Another major cause of overheating is due to a dirty air filter , you should check it first.

Have a husky 19 gal 1.5hp it kicks on when first start to work and when it builds up air and i use it and when it wants to kick back on it wont i have to wait till it cools down.

Is there an option for you to run this compressor on 220 volts vs 110 volts??? If so, you may want to convert it by following the re-wire instructions on the motor or wire access plate/instuction book. The reason your compressor won't fire up again after building pressure is the head pressure is to great at restart and 110 household current is not enough to give the power needed to turn the piston. You'll need to replace the plug and have someone run a 220 volt circuit once the conversion is completed.

Husky Wl6510 air compressor, motor shuts off

One other possibility is that the check valve between the compressor and the tank is letting air flow back against the compressor. Is it having trouble restarting when the pressure lowers to the cut-in pressure? If it doesn't want to start up again, sounding like it's starting against pressure, suspect that valve.

I hsve a Husky 1 gallon tank 10 max psi mod # FP 202900. I was using it the otherday when it all at once started making a little noise then quit. I have unplugged it hoping it would reset, but no such...

There should be a reset button on the motor. Try that first. Otherwise, it is a bad pressure switch or internal motor problem. If resetting the motor allows the unit to start, but it just hums, shut it off right away, bleed off all pressure and try again. Let us know what happens.

Husky 1.5 HP 6 gallon compressor motor runs but does not build up any pressure. Unit is only 2 years old and is only occassionally used to air up my car tires.

Your manual pressure release valve might be stuck open or blocked open by some debree. It should have a steel pull ring on the end of it. Exercise it and try running it again. Also the pressure regulator adjustment might have been backed off to zero. Crank it clockwise and see if this helps. Check the air output lines from the compressor to the tank for leaks.

Husky 17gal 5hp compressor will not cut off when it builds up pressure. Pressure valve will pop open and then I cut it off buy hand

bad pressure switch or it is wired incorrectly replace switch and check the wiring or could be out of adjustment you compressor is made for max 125psi should be a screw to adjust on the pressure switch near where the wires are connected back out counter clockwise to lower and see if that turns it off

Husky comp on 1st start builds up 75 lbs and wont restart

Check the reset button on the motor to see if it tripped. The motor may be overheating. Some motors have an internal breaker and they have to cool off before they restart. Also check the pressure switch. Move the switch back and forth ( on and off ) and listen for a click. If it doesn't click with low to no air pressure then the switch is bad.
