Had this same problem on a Nexxt 500 plus dryer. First, go outside and put up a clothes line so the wet clothes are out of the way :) LOL Anyhow to access the belt pulley fand the little switch, you have to remove the top and rear. First unplug everything. Then get a Torx T-20 driver. There are three kinds of screws so go slowly and keep them separate! Remove the top (two small screws at rear). Unplug the power cable and the ground wire. Remove most (not all!) the screws around the outer edge; several do not go thru the back panel and stay in. Finally remove all the screws in the center of the rear panel. The rear panel should left off easily. The tan box with the two thumb-tack like pins that are surrounded with springs should be easily visible at the bottom. Push the one that's out in space, away from a vertical steel piece. You should hear a little click. Reassemble (you kept the 3 kinds of screws separate, right?) and test.
If you look on the motor that turns the drum (at bottom), you will see two wires coming into what looks like s tan box with two spring loaded thumb tacks on either side. the thumb tacks are pushed if the tension arm on the drum belt kicks out. You can reset it by pushing the opposite thumb tack. WATCH OUT BECUASE IT WILL START AS SOON AS YOU RESET IT IF IT IS TURNED ON, use two people if possible.
The round access panel on the front, lower left opens to reveal a gas valve and wiring. Where is the motor with this mystical tan box?The round access panel on the front, lower left opens to reveal a gas valve and wiring. Where is the motor with this mystical tan box?

E:20 through E:26 Defective control module Unplug the dryer for 3 minutes to reset the control module. If the code returns when power is restored, replace the control module. Control module
There is a switch located on the duct from the heating element. Which you are not able to reset, you have to replace it if it's defective. Do a continuity test on it and if there is no continuity then the switch has to be replaced.
This means that the dryer is not able to exhaust correctly. Often times this is caused by kinked or blocked vent behind the dryer. If that looks ok, the vent in the wall may need to be cleaned. In this case or in most a professional dryer vent cleaner would be needed to clean the dryer vent.
One last thing you can check is the lint screen. On Bosch dryers the lint filter will become clogged from the dryer sheets. Remove the lint filter and run water through it. If water runs through, the lint filter is good.
I know this unit well and can assists you with any repair related question you have.
Did you check this FIXYA LINK below? Appears to have lot's of answers!
Also I WATCHED the YOUTUBE video I recommended and NOTICED his DRIVE BELT is WAY too loose! Methinks THAT is why his dryer has problems!
Be SURE your belt is not to aged because they can STRETCH and then TRIP the "RESET SWITCH" he's talking about. Note the way his PULLEY shakes so violently... AND the action of the belt itself...
if you use fabric softener sheet, there is two small metal chrome stip take a wet rag clean them off, they are locate on the in side of dry drum close to dry grill on inside, those sheet can leave a film on those stip are your sensor for the auto cycle on the dryer
Absolutely those dryer sheets are the root of all evil....I would also recommend a good vent brush to clean your dryer vent.
Follow these steps, it worked for me:
1. use a shop vacuum to clean out the dry vent or a vent brush.
2. Clean your lint filter with windex, hot water and and soft bristle brush.
If this doesnt work try running the until disconnected from the vent for a cycle to isolate the vent as your issue.
If some parts of the dryer works and others don't, then a connection wire is either loose or damaged. You can look up the model of your dryer online and find a wiring guide. Then open up the dryer by taking the front (depending on model) and look for a loose wire or any damage. If the dryer has never worked before, then you may need to rewire the plug, for example, in some older houses the wiring is not grounded and the ground wire needs to be connected with the neutral in order to complete the circuit.
