Hi,
For the message that show's on your camera here's is what your need to do. 1. Remove the memory card and check for the physical lock toggle.

Is there a way to transfer pictures from internal memory on Nikon coolpix s51 to memory card. Lost my USB card

There's a Copy command in the playback menu that will copy pictures from internal memory to memory card (or the other way around). Full details are in the "Copy" section of the manual (page 100 in my copy).

I have a Nikon Coolpix s51 but my screen is cracked. I am trying to transfer the photos from my memory card and camera to my computer, but i am having trouble figuring out how to do that???

At this point, I would remove the card from the camera. If you don't already have a card reader, invest in one. Connect the card reader to the computer, then plug the card into the reader. You can use Nikon Transfer ( http://support.nikontech.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/61 ) or the operating system's drag&drop to transfer the pictures to your computer.

If you have pictures stored in the camera's internal memory and the screen is at least partially legible, you can try to select "Copy" from the Setup menu to transfer pictures from the internal memory to the memory card before you follow the suggestions in the first paragraph.

On the screen of my s51 it keeps saying my memory card is locked when it is not, i have tried every thing what should i do?

You could try to reset all the menus to default, factory settings. If that does not work, I think the camera needs repair. Nikon has a repair department, and a trade-in or trade-up program which may be worth looking into.

Nikon coolpix s51 digtal camera memory card says can not be used?

hi..
There is a tab on the memory card so you will you need to remove it from the camera and change the position of this tab to "unlock" it.
You need to unlock the card itself. Take it out and look for a tab on the left. It should be pushed up.

''Memory card is write protected''

Remove the SD memory card from the camera and move the small switch on the side to the unlock position. That should solve the problem.

"memory card is write protected"?? but it's not the memory card!

It's not the camera. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Nikon Coolpix S51 - unable to install software on Window ME

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.
