I succeeded into installing and using the Mustek ScanExpress A3 USB!
I downloaded the driver for Windows Vista from the Mustek website, then did the following steps:
1. left mouse click on the web.exe downloaded file and choose Properties;
2. in Properties I checked "Execute this program always as Administrator" and "Execute in compatibility mode for Windows Vista";
3. without any scanner connected I executed web.exe, gave the authorization even if recognized certificate;
4. allowed the system to restart;
5. connected the scanner;
6. directly used it into any program.

Mustek not providing support for Windows 7. They suggest you go and buy a new scanner from them ! I am sure that you will rush off
WIA support works on Win7 64bit. I could not make twain work. But still its working.
