You may wish to work throught the troubleshooter accessible in this link, or check to be sure that you have the most up to date drivers installed for your printer by scanning at hp, (see link on this page)

install the drivers of your printer again. and change the usb wire if it is to old.thats it.

I'm assuming you went to the HP site and downloaded the Vista drivers??? Other than that try this:

1. From Control Panel > printers... uninstall all printers.
2. Unplug USB cable to printer and re-boot.
3. Install Software.
4. Plug USB cable back in.

The problem with your printer is probably if you are using Windows XP it will not print banners from there. I downloaded drivers too and found if I went to a printer with Windows 98 and put in my software program the banner will print out. Hope this works for you. I had to find it thru trial and error.
