When I connect any computer via the PC input to a panasonic viera plasma, there is a pink line down the right hand side of any graphic that is on a white background. no problem in normal tv mode. its ok to start with but increases in strength as time passes. have tried different resolutions and searched the tv menu to no avail. any suggestions welcomed!

Right click onyour desktop and click properties (Windows XP) or personalize (Windows Vista).
Click the tab that says Settings(XP) or the link that says Display Settings (Vista)
Adjust your resolution by sliding the bar up or down until your dispaly matched the optimum resolution of your TV.

When this happens the voltages on some of the circuit boards can be adjusted to claer up this problem. THIS IS NOT some thing a person should do them self, the voltages are dangerous and critical to the operation of the set. "This should only be done by a trained service technician."

black strip down the right side its about 2 inches wide there are also red and green flashing lights that is defective shorted capacitor at power inverter board section that was 300uf 200volts.

Before connecting it to your Tv try to turn down your resolution settings on your laptop to 680 or something, Maybe your TV does not support the resolution your laptop is in at the moment.
