The tv just turned off and the power botton blinks

The power light keeps flashing and the tv won't turn on. If you unplug for a minute and hit the power button it sound like it is coming on then it shuts off and the red power light flashes slowly. The TV is a Panisonic 1080i HDTV, about 6-7 years old.

How many blinks does the light do? Or is it constant?

Call the tv warrenty serviced repair,tv under a one old right?The tv power supply board is dead,need repairing by replacing power supply parts call like capacitors common parts dies by leaking gases in the power supply board.

Did you get your set fixed or did you replace it? My same set did the same thing. Turned it off for 2-3hrs after watching it and when I tried to power it up- nothing but the sound it would normally make just before the major power up, sort of a relay click sound. No picture or sound but the red light blinks non-stop.

I think problem in power supply section and it would be nice if you could provide exact model number of your Sony TVs, question headings show it is KV-32FS120 TV, please confirm to proceed further.

Sounds like you need to replacew the lamp.

red light flashes 4 times then stays on for about 5 seconds then flashes 4 times again any idea what this means and how i can fix it tv is about 4 years old and only just started doing this

Have you replaced its Lamp?
Symptoms shows TV needs new lamp.
Please always buy original Sony lamp for replacement.

your power supply is out

KV32hs500 tv won't turn on. Standby light blinks 7 times, stops and then 7 more times, etc.. The tv will usually come on after about 2 hours or so of being off. Plays fine when on but once it gets turned off the problem happens again. Any suggestions? T.V. is 5 years old.
I have a similar problem . mine blinks 6 times or 7 sometimes also,and comes on with sound ,no picture for about 2 seconds then shuts off. Anything?
