Leaking water at the discharge line/selinoid???

When the dishwasher drains , there is some water leaking from the bottom ...I think it's the selinoid ???

  • Ambari May 11, 2010

Check all water hose junctions. If the leak is from hose to pipe, remove and replace. or Use the same hose if sufficient. Discard the old joint area of the hose. While pushing the hose apply little soap for a easy placement on the solenoid. If clips are used place the back!

If it is coming out the bottom of the door (ie around the bottom seal, it may be the dish washing powder. Had this issue on one machine and simply changing back to the one the manufacturer recommend stopped the puddles forming. I think it is due to the power being too sudsy and creating excess bubbles

Bosch SL1501B dishwasher doesn't drain water after the washing cycle. Also with new drain pump. What else could it be?

Check the following.
1. The drain hose has to be discharging at a high enough point to prevent water flowing back into the machine.
2. Make sure your drain hose is not twisted or kinked.
3 . Make sure your drain line is not blocked push a flexible hose down it to dislodge any fat/debris
4.If your drain line discharges into a shared drain with another appliance i.e. garbage disposal make sure it is not blocked.
5. You may have a blockage at the inlet to the pump which would slow down the pumping rate,
Since you mentioned the mushroom shaped float allowing the washer to empty this may be defective.
See the link attached.
Hope this helps.

Dishwasher leaking

When does it start to leak? I mean how much water goes in before the leak starts. I have a problem every once in awhile with mine leaking when the float in the bottom of the washer gets stuck and does not shut off the water. The way to check this is to locate the float, it is near the front left side, and push it up and down a few times to make sure it is not stuck. Try the washer again. If that is not the problem u could have a leak from the drain under the dishwasher. Sometimes the plastic can crack and cause a leak. Also check the discharge line and make sure it is not the problem.

Wont drain?

if you have an air gap on the sink from the dishwasher and water is leaking out here into the sink instead of the drain it is probably plugged from there to the disposer or "P" trap in the drain line, also check the sump screen and down in there for food particles still there

The water does not drain out. Water in tub bottom

hi Most dishwashers discharge used water through a pipe or a hose connected to the drain or garbage disposer under the kitchen sink. If the drain line is made of flexible hosing, it may have cracked from prolonged exposure to hot water. Examine the hose; if it's damaged, replace it. If the hose is leaking at its connections with the disposer or dishwasher, tighten the fittings or clamps at the connections, or replace the clamps. Also check for water leaks around inlet valves, drain valves, and anywhere you see flexible hoses and hose connections. Leaks at clamps can be stopped by tightening or replacing the clamps. Leaks in hoses can be eliminated by replacing the hoses.

Dishwasher leaking at the bottom of the door during operation.

hi If the dishwasher leaks, and you know the problem is not related to tub overfilling, the pump, or inlet valve problems, the plumbing connections may be faulty. Most dishwashers are connected to the water supply with metal pipe fittings, and the leak could be at these fittings. If the fittings are threaded, tighten them with an adjustable wrench. If this doesn't work, chances are the threads are stripped or the fitting is cracked or otherwise damaged. In this case, replace the fitting.
