You can eliminate the motor by unbolting the pump from it and then if it will start the problem is with the pump or the unloading valve. If it does not start with the pump removed then you check for spark and get the carb cleaned or have a kit put in it.If it does start then check to see if the pump turns freely,if so disassemble the unloader valve and clean and lube it so that the pump and motor can relieve the pressure it needs to when the trigger is not engaged,if the pump can't be easily turned by hand then then pump needs to come apart, dealership should do this.
I have a honda gc 160 and have lost directions showing how to connect liquid soap container to water tank. do you know?
I have the same pressure washer with the same problem. It satrts when I spray starter fluid into the carbm bt then doies out. I opened th efuel bowl under the carb, and there is fuel. I suspect the carb is bacd, jets, metering valve, I don't know. Can I rebuild it or get a new carb cheaply? Did you resolve your issue>
I have a brand new 2600 with same problem. It stopped running after an hour . It is full with new gas and the oil is full. I suspect the fuel filter because I borrowed my friends washer. Its the same model and almost brand new and it shut off exactly the same as mine. Tomorrow I'm going to change the filters. What a piece of ****. I bought a new one to escape these problems.

Remove carburetor and clean jet and fuel tube located inside carburetor stem after removal of fuel bowl next time before you store it drain the carb so that it would not varnish again.
yes keep water flowing through pump so that the seals would not become damaged with trigger gun open and no nozzle for prevention of engine load.the engine will decompress causing an easy pull.engine had what they call a decompression lobe which will allow the compression to be released out of exhaust valve until it starts.
