Dirt Devil Deluxe Easy Steam Mop won't steam

The water holder is hot, green light is on, microfiber mop gets wet when pushed on floor, but there's not steam and it's not hot - so the floor is just wet, but not clean.  We are following the instructions but are not able to fix the problem.  Please help!  Thanks in advance!

Hi Slatts51 I am having the same problem it worked wonders the first time I used it, now its doing the same thing as yours, I can hear it gurgling and sometimes it will emit steam but hardly like before, I think I might be switching to a different steam mop I contacted the company now it will take a few days for someone to contact me back, go figure.

Same problem works very few times then no heat water still cdomes out but no heat

I got brave and took mine apart. What I found was they used this red gasket sealer for the part where the water goes through and heats up. They did a sloppy job doing this so the stuff that ended up on the inside of where the water is, came off and plugged the hole where the water is supposed to go out of. Unless you take this thing apart and clear out that gasket sealer that is in the hole, it will never work again. I even made my hole bigger when I had it apart because it's so small it can get clogged with about anything. Now mine works great!

I just fixed mine. One of the rubber tubes cracked causing water to leak out. I had aquarium tubing and also used cable plastic ties; making sure to keep then away from anything metal that could get hot. Problem fixed in less than 10, including putting back together

Shark Euro Pro Steamer

Hi, you could try the following steps, if you have not done so already. Some of these steps may seem like common sense, but it's for people to forget about checking the least expensive part to replace first, so if some of the steps are those that you have already tried, then feel free just to skip through to the ones you have not tried already.
  1. 1
Make sure the power cord is plugged firmly into the outlet. The steam mop will not start if it the power cord is loose.
  2. 2
Check the fuse box or circuit breaker connected to the outlet the steam mop is plugged in to. Replace any blown fuses. Reset any tripped breakers.
  3. 3
Check the water tank if the Shark steam mop will not produce steam. Add water to the tank if it is empty. The mop will not make steam without water in the tank. To fill the tank, turn the tank cap counterclockwise and lift it up to remove it. Set the filling funnel into the tank opening. Pour water through the funnel into the tank until the water level reaches the "Max" fill line on the tank. Replace the cap.
  4. 4
Inspect the microfiber cleaning pad if the steam mop is leaving water on the floor. If the microfiber pad is too wet, it will leave water on the floor. Unplug the mop from the wall outlet. Replace the microfiber cleaning pad. To replace the pad, move the latch strips out of the hooks on the mop head. Pull the pad off. Set the new cleaning pad on the mop head. Hook the latch strips onto the hooks on the mop head.
  5. 5
Use distilled water if the steam mop is leaving white spots on the floor. Hard water may cause white spots to be left.
If none of the above work, then is it something that you purchased recently, and is new? If you did, then it could still be fixed under the manufacturer's warranty regardless of whether or not the original length of the warranty has expired. This could be due to the fact that you have received a product that has some sort of manufacturing fault, rather than it stop working through misuse by the user.
If it's a common problem, then you will more then likely be able to return it to the manufacturer and have it replaced for a new one, let alone repaired :-) - This only applies to whether or not the item is New though :-).
Hope this info helps

Easy steam express ll not steaming

The problem with the DD steam mop is not getting steam out but trying to get it to keep coming out. If U disassemble the plastic housing around the handle U will see a small part connected to 2 hoses, one going to the water reservoir the other going to the heating unit. This is the pump which provides water to the heating unit, and if this fails U won't get steam. U can try disassembling this and try to get the piston to move more freely. A loud clicking sound coming from this should indicate good movement and a feeble click click click may indicate restricted movement.
Hope this helps

Makes steam. Leaks where pad goes into pad attachment. Pad doesn't get hot steam...just water but the pad doesn't really get wet but the floor does.
