White film and food particles on dishes

Our dishwasher is about 2 1/2 years old. It was working fine (other than a leak at the bottom of the front panel) until about 4 months ago. It stopped rinsing the dishes completely. There is a white film and food particles covering the dishes. My husband took everything apart, and we saw nothing to indicate a problem. I am now hand washing my dishes but would like to be able to use my dishwasher again! Our plumbing has not changed and I have used the same detergent until after I noticed the film. I tried other detergents with the same results.

Did you check the incoming water quality, regarding hardness!

If your washing machine supports salt addition technique, fill the appropriate box and fill the salt that is meant for washing machines. Salt works as a softener.

Finally check your rinse aid also for it's fill in the dispenser meant for it

Does not clean the dishes

Hello, I can help you. With the dishwasher empty, toss in two cups of white vinegar and run the machine on its longest and hottest cycle. This will thoroughly clean the machine.

Now put in a load of dishes, be sure to run the kitchen faucet til the water is as hot as it will get and then start your machine.

A white nasty film on the dishes after washing

Check to make sure there are no bits or trash or paper around the bottom parts of your dishwasher. Place a bowl of vinegar on the bottom rack of your empty dishwasher. Run your dishwasher through a complete cycle.
