The lithium iron battery for this conputer is 4000 mA/hrs. or 4 Ampere hours. That means that with a draw of 1 Ampere the computer would be useable off the battery for 4 hours. Since you can't run off the battery below a certain voltage you can deduct 20% leaving a battery life of a little over three hours.

Testimonial: "thanks for your expert opinoion. i hope you can suggest a compatible battery that would last for 3 hours atleast for the compaq presario CQ41-207AU"

  • woozie38 Apr 11, 2010

    Maybe a battery from this site will help, but check the capacity (Amp/hr) of your current battery first. The length of time a battery lasts is very dependent on how you use the computer. that is If you use the drives a lot, the battery will go flat sooner.

NO thats about the best you can get really. The best thing is to adjust your power profile to get the best battery life, also Charging it up, should always be done, Over night,if possible, whenever you use ON Battery alone, Recharge, the battery up each, night, try and develop a "Cycle" this will help lengthen the life of the battery.

SOURCE: Compaq presario r3000 amd athlon laptop cuts off after 10 minutes

from my experience this might be one of two things...

if it's shutting down while you're installing windows, i'm thinking you might have a problem with the motherboard channel for your CD drive. i saw this happen to a computer at work - we couldn't install windows because it cut off halfway through and blue screened on us.

it might also be a case of a bad hard drive, if you have any testing utility like drive fitness test i'd give that a shot. it sounds like a new one, but they're bad out of the box sometimes.

hope this helps

Ms 6367 ver 1 0

1) The MSI ms-6367 version 1.0 motherboard, was made especiallly for HP desktop computers.
(MicroStar International)

It is not an MSI -> O.E.M motherboard.
(Original Equipment Manufacturer)
Therefore, ONLY HP would have a BIOS update for this board, and not MSI..........

2) The original Processors used were AMD Athlon XP 2000+
Maximum frequency rate, (Excuse me, 'Speed'), is 1.67GigaHertz.
(1.67GHz)
Front Side Bus frequency rate is 266MegaHertz.
(FSB = 266MHz)

You are trying to use an AMD 'Sempy' processor, that has an FSB of 333MHz.
This = No.

Why?

Because, even if you could somehow boost the FSB up to 333MHz, your ram memory would not work anymore, and your expansions slots. (i.e., PCI, AGP, etc)

(Change Voltage for processor {CPU}, or change Multiplier; in BIOS Setup utility. This would change the FSB)

Ram memory typically operates at Half of the processor's FSB.

3) I realize all you may have around is a Sempron, but let me post some facts;

A) The AMD Sempron, and the Intel Celeron are BUDGET processors. Also known as Starter processors.......
Why?

Because both have less Cache, than per se a comparable AMD Athlon XP processor, or Intel Pentium 4 processor.

(AMD Athlon XP compared to AMD Sempron;
Intel Pentium 4 compared to Intel Celeron)

What is Cache for a processor?
It is a small memory area for the Processor, and operates at the same frequency rate, ('Speed'), as the Processor.
Therefore it is the first memory area the Processor accesses.

[Ram Memory is next, then the Harddrive.
Mechanical harddrive, or Solid State.

http://computer.howstuffworks.com/hard-disk.htm

http://computer.howstuffworks.com/computer-hard-drives-disks-channel.htm ]

A crude example if I may;

You are writing a thesis for college.
You find as you go along, that you need some additional information.
Where is it?
Down in the basement, in a box of books, last book on the bottom.
Oh, and there is NO basement light........

Down you go, flashlight in hand. Dig through the box of books, and retrieve the book you desire.
Now back up the steps, and open the book to the page you want.

OR,

You press a few keys on the computer keyboard in front of you, and have your needed info in seconds........

Less Cache = Basement scenario
More Cache = Computer scenario

I would drill a hole through that 'Sempy' processor, and make it into a necklace. (Wouldn't wear it though! lol!)

Jus sayin'.

I have a Acer AX1200-U1510A AM2+ Motherboard and i would like to upgrade the processor, ihave 4 gigs of mem and a 1 gig Gigabyte Gt 610 graphics card. I only have a 240 watt power supply what processo

Should work with a processor of the same socket type. I'd seriously upgrade the psu myself. Personally I'd upgrade the motherboard and processor to a quad core, and get the fastest ram, look at ebuyer.com, you can buy a bundle upgrade package for less than you may think. :)

Chip up grade options!

That
is a socket 754 motherboard. It will support AMD Athlon processors up to Athlon64 3400+. It is a bit long in the tooth by today's standards, and only uses DDR memory, not DDR2. You may get more of a bang for your buck by buying a "barebones" system, which can consist of a motherboard with processor and memory, depending on how much you want in the barebones package.

Typically you use the case, power supply you already have with the new motherboard and processor and ram (memory).

At any rate, if you only want to upgrade your processor, keep in mind that your board only supports up to the Athlon64 3400+. It will support up to DDR 400 ram. You would probably benefit more by buying 2 sticks of 400 DDR ram at 2 gigs each, if you don't have much ram now. If your processor is close to the 3400+, then another processor in that board isn't going to change things much.

Good luck, and write back if you'd like more help.

Umm the info on one of my appliances is wrong and have no ide a how to edit iton this website by the way it's a 3 gig ddr2 about to be a 4 gig apparently that's the max the motherboard will allow even...

If you have a 32 bit version of Windows dont put in 4 gigs. The Motherboard may support it but a 32 Bit version of Windows will only support a total of 4 gigs of ram including the video memory, cache, and pci. If its a 32 bit I normally recommend no more than 3.5 gigs of ram memory. Normally its safer to run 3 gigs. Windows may not run well if you go past that 4 gig point. As far as the appliances problem your refering to I didnt understand what you were asking for.

Hope this helps keep you from having a ram issue.

If you need help with the other question please be more specific. Thanks...
