Hoover 200m 4.5kg washing machine will not use cold water to wash. How do I switch it to cold water wash?

no drain? do u have a spin cycle working? If so check the water pump and hoses for clogged blockage. or broken obstructed propeller, can u turn it (pump) by hand?

On my hoover 200m (top loader) I had a similar problem. I turned off the machine & unplugged it. Closed water taps both hot & cold. Manually emptied machine with large cup. Undid bottom outlet hose by unclipping.The residual water will come out! I undid the 3 screws on the control panel. Tilted the control panel forward. The water level is manual control using a diagaphram pressure control to set water level. This had a hose. I disconnected both ends and used a bicycle pump to blow air thorough it. Underneath I disconnected where the hose goes into machine (clips) and also blew air from the top to check it was clear. After reconnecting everything the machine now does not stop filling and does not overflow anymore. Hope this helps.

Hi, I am having the same problem atm and was wondering if you fixed it?
Where there any damages to the machine and how much did it cost to repair if you called a repair man?

Rinse cycles are normally with cold water only.

I believe you have a faulty cold water inlet valve. To confirm, put the machine on a cold only wash cycle, and see if it fill up with water.

If it does, then the valve is O.K. In that case the problem you are having with the rinse cycle is most likely a timmer fault.

Your outlet hose is too low at the back of the machine tie the hose at about the level as your inlet hose eg to where your inlet hoses are festened and then let the remainder of the hose go to your outlet as usual.that should work Kind Regards Stefan.

never continue to use a machine that makes any noise it shouldn't you can only make matters worse and could do severe damage that can't be repaired, sound like something in the drum or something loose outside the drum, like suspension etc based on the info given i would just say ask an engineer to have a quick listen, many do a free estimate

The solution is a faulty solenoid valve, either the hot or cold valve depending what temperature you are using.
Replacing the valve is easy turnoff machine unscrew hose, remove 3 srcews to lift control cover, slide out locking tab, unclip wires the replace valve which cost about 30-$40
