Sylvania LD320SSX turns off by itself.

My 4 month old Sylvania LD320SSX turns off by itself..

At first, I thought I had accidentally hit the power button, but it shuts down by itself when the remote is across the room.

When I try to turn the power back on, the green power light flashes 4 or 5 times and then the TV switches back to stand-by mode - red light.

After a few hours or the next morning the unit will power back up and the TV will work fine until the next unexpected shut down.

This has happened 4 days in a row - help!

Can't get to full screen

You should be able to navigate this through the buttons on your TV. Hit menu and pull up video settings, then display. It can be set for automatic or constantly in one format (ex. 16:9, 4:3 ratio). Full screen would be 16:9 or letterbox.

Unless it has an eject button on the unit you need the original remote.

I think you accidentally turned on some kinda of test pattern. Try pressing the Input button on the TV itself or the menu button. Sorry that is the best I can do.

Your TV may be in the service mode. Some of these left the factory this way. To exit this, try one of two things. With the original remote, press the the left cursor button, follow by pressing the right cursor button. Now power off the TV with the remote or the TV itself. The second option is press the cursor button up, follow by pressing the cursor button down. Now power off the TV. Your TV should be OK. Turn on your TV after trying each of the following solutions. Sylvania microwave convection oven overheats after

you need to remove the cover and after it operates and shuts down(CAREFULLY) feel the magnetron tube sides (BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL<HI_VOLTAGE ON TUBE FROM CAPACITOR) still, then if its not too warm there is a small temp sensor held by 2 screws on the side of the tube and they can go bad and shut off current to the tube, the tube will run warm, but should never run HOT,if its hot its defective
