Re: On ps3 my controllers wont charge i have perchased...
Maybe its the USB PORTS from your ps3 system that are not working try using a flash drive or any kind of USB drive into the ps3 USB port and see if the playstaion recognizes itif it doesn't I'd say its the USB ports that do'nt work

yea i have noticed my ps3 isn't charging stuff either it only does charge when its turned on im pretty sure theres a setting to charge while the ps3 is off
To sync:
Connect the USB cable (provided with the controller) into the data USB port on the top of the controller. Insert the other end of the controller into one of the two USB ports on the front of the system.
Power on the television and the Sony PlayStation 3. You are going to see a series of lights flicker on the top of the wireless controller.
Press the PS3 button in the middle of the controller. This tells the gaming system it is connected. A single light appears on the controller.
Remove the gaming controller from the PS3. You can now use it wireless. It is also possible to remove the USB cable from the PlayStation if it is blocking your field of view.
hello,
i believe all you need to do is use the usb charging cord and plug the controller to the cord and connect it to the ps3.
i hope i have helped and i hope it works, let me know how to goes!!!!
1) try leaving it on to charge via a usb powered port for a day if lights come on,
if not hould down the playstation button for 1min and make sure the ps3 is not on even stand by
then plug the controler into the ps3 with the cable turn the ps3 on with out the controlonce loaded now try.
if still does not work then you need to get a next control.
i had same problem turn off your system with controller plugged in to usb unplug controller remove the power cable for a couple of mins reconnect and use controller PS button to turn system on and it should be back to normal. it worked for me
the problem can be in 3 places. the ps3, the controller, or the cord. get a camera cord that lets you move pics to your computer and charge it with that. ask a frriend to charge your controller with their ps3, or try a new controller.
I just fixed mine. The controller itself needs to be reset. There is a reset button on the back of the controller, above the top right hand corner of the square with all on the information and barcode. Press it with a sharp tipped object while still connected to the PS3 via USB cable. Then press the PS button and you should be back on wirelessly.
