My sony ericsson P990i wont turn on after an update. Battery is charged , it just goes on but doesnt vibrate or get to the logo part. please please help have tried every thing!

the exact same thing happened to me. i was in london and had low reception and that and i thought if i turned it off then back on it would be better again but now i just vibrates for a second shows the sony ericsson logo then goes black but the buttons keep lighting up and vuvrating but not turning on.
i dont know whats wrong but i think it has something to do with the battery so im going back to the shop i bought it from and ask them about it (lost reciept though :L) i might have to buy a new battery for it (everyone is saying something to do with an alein thin on the battey)
it is a software fault try to remove the memory stick and then take out the battery for a minute and then repeat the procedure without ur memory stick see if it helps , if it doesnt help then go for a software update from sony ericsson website sure it will help u , download the update utility and try an update
Uninstalled my version of Sony PC suite and reinstalled the latest version of PCsuite and then downloaded a software update tool from the Sony site Called Update Service. This took several attempts but eventually it sprung into action. I was told that my phone was broken by 5 different phone outlets.
also have a P990i and ive installed a new theme and used that theme,
then i tried to enter control panel several times it does not let me
and shows me a message like "Application
closed/Kern......./Reason.........."!! So i turned off the phone and
restarted it but it only shows sony ericsson logo and it is not going further.
