You only have the preset picture settings and the custom settings to use in the user menu.. Only your eyes can tell you what you like. The only other way to get a really killer picture is to have a Professional ISF Video Calibrator calibrate the set.

Vertical 5" wide dark band in middle of screen

A 5" wide dark band in the middle of a Samsung Smart Series 7 TV screen could be caused by several issues. Here are a few potential causes and solutions:
  1. Faulty LCD Panel: If the LCD panel is damaged, it may cause a dark band in the middle of the screen. Unfortunately, a damaged LCD panel usually requires a professional repair or replacement, which can be expensive.
  2. Loose or Damaged Connection: A loose or damaged connection between the TV's internal components could cause a dark band on the screen. Check all of the cables and connections between the TV and any external devices to ensure they are properly connected and undamaged.
  3. Picture Settings: The dark band could be caused by the TV's picture settings. Try adjusting the picture settings to see if it improves the image. For example, you could try adjusting the brightness, contrast, or sharpness.
  4. Software Update: A software issue could cause a dark band on the screen. Check if there is a software update available for your TV and install it if necessary.
  5. Magnetic Interference: If there is a strong magnetic field near the TV, it could cause a dark band on the screen. Try moving any magnets or magnetic devices away from the TV to see if it improves the image.
If none of these solutions work, it may be best to contact a professional TV repair technician who can diagnose and fix the issue. They can ensure that the repair is done correctly and safely, and can help prevent further damage to the TV.

What are the best picture settings for a ln32b360 samsung lcd tv.

Well, picture settings for this tv, is basically personal preference, size of the room, distance you will be from the tv, ect. even the lighting in the room. Changing any of these factors can change what resolution you wanna put your tv into. As well wide or full screen is a personal preference. The best thing to do would be simply play with the display settings and see what works the best for you. Telling you exact settings may not work for you.

Brightness keeps shifting on Samsung 46" 7 Series 750

I just purchased Samsung series 4 LCD TV yesterday. I had the same problem since my salesman was a kind of stupid. He set the 'Power save mode' to automatic. After fiddle with my TV for a while, I found the solution.
Just change the 'Power save mode' to off, low, normal or high. My LCD TV stopped shifting its brightness.
