Toshiba M300 screen turns white blank.

I'm using Toshiba M300 and my screen turns on to be fully white blank. When I adjust the screen up and down, it appears to come back to normal again for a few minutes and after that it turns back to the white blank screen. Is it because of my LCD backlight lamp problem?Any solution on it?

White screen means that your lamp (back light) is working absolutely fine, but you could have a loose connection for the data ribbon cable, which sends the images to the monitor.
Carefully open laptop to reach its lcd, there must be ribbon cable which looks like this: Toshiba M300 screen turns white blank. - mrc-0069.gif
It is very sensitive so be very careful with that, very gently remove this from the chip and reconnect it.
Hope this helps, Please feel free to ask me any further.

SCREEN IS WHITE

Sounds like an un-seated video cable. Try an external monitor. If it doesn't display on an external monitor, the the system board is likely defective. Otherwise, you'll need to locate the video cable and reconnect them to the board.

White screen on my zen

Please, watch this video which explains how to solve the white screen for your mp3 player:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8g0sh7pc54

1. Fully charge the unit.

2. Get a song to play.

3. Lock the device by moving the Hold/Power switch up.

4. Wait for the screen to blank to black, and also wait an ADDITIONAL 25-seconds after the screen blanks.

5. While holding the Play/Pause button down, move the Hold/Power switch out of the lock-mode, and all the way down (like you're turning it off).

6. Release the Play/Pause button.

The screen has narrow white lines across the top 3 inches, on cable and with a VCR Tape in.

hello,
Where all colors are involved - the lines are essentially white or gray (or with a slight tint due to slight unequal settings of the color adjustments), look for something common like an incorrectly adjusted screen (G2) or master brightness/background/bias control or a problem in one of these circuits, a defective power supply or a problem in the blanking circuitry:

Screen (G2) or master brightness/background/bias control - mark setting and then see if a slight adjustment removes the retrace lines. See the chapter: "TV Adjustments". Of course, if this happened suddenly, the problem is not due to a misadjusted control though a dirty pot is possible - turn it back and forth - this might clean it and restore normal operation.

Power supply or connection to CRT neck board - insufficient voltage will result in the CRT never totally blanking. Check (usually scan derived) power supply components (from flyback).

General power supply - check B+ for correct value and ripple. A main power supply fault might result in these symptoms (and usually many others).

Blanking circuit - this may be a part of the video/chroma chip or separate. Check waveforms to determine if the blanking pulses are making it to the video output.

My laptop won't charge

What do u mean by "adjust the cord" ? If u have to adjust by twisting the jack in the power input port then it is neither the fault of the cord nor the of the battery but may be the fault of the power input port.
Go to Toshiba service center and they will solv the prob.

Toshiba Satellite M300 screen problem

Hi, I can't guaranty this will help the problem, but for a quick try I say its worth it. On the Desktop, right click to open Personalize, select Display Settings; by adjusting the resolution it helps with the "Flicker effect" aswell, by selecting different settings, you can "view" the best Monitor Display. "If the solution helped, rating it is appreciated, thanks."

White/Grey screen with non-HD channels

I removed the HDMI cable and connected with component video and rca audio. No more white screen.

Picture quality looks good. I don't know if it's as good as HDMI, but then I don't need to reboot the TV three times to get to teh on-demand menu... Grrrrr....

I am trying to contact Toshiba on this as well. I have seen several reports of this problem on the web.

Laptop screen constantly flickers and whites out

Your Bulb is DUE, you need to change it, Don't do it your self contains mercury. Your LCD is good IF you do not have bad PIXELS. This white and pink lines shows as pixel problem but it migth also short on LCD, if you placed something heavy on Laptop. You may remove and sent the LCD for repair or all laptop to tech.
You may also need to check inverter. I give service around the Country but it is up to you. My company name is JMC TECHS INC. Registered in Miami Florida. (Check SUNBIZ.com) jmctechinc@gmail if you like to contact me.
