Speed dials reside in programming memory 001. You can change them from the maintenance console software, or an extension, usually on Jack #1, operator, or the manager's phone.

From the phone, (ext 101) press PROGRAM and dial **1234. If the display says SYS PGM then dial 001 and start with your first speed dial number (3 digit, 001-999). By stepping through the ENTER key, you will be able to find the existing numbers. A trunk access code must be the first part of a speed dial number. You probably see it as the first digit "9" in front of all your numbers.

KX-T7630 How do I edit the system speed dial numbers on this PANASONIC phone? I cannot find anything online in the manual. I can only find the personal speed dial options for storing numbers.

There doesn't appear to be a way. Sometimes on multi-phone business systems, a technician can connect a laptop with dealer software and make changes or edits that a user can't.

If that particular number needs to be at Number 1, you would have to delete them all and reprogram them all again.

Two questions: We have Panasonic KX-T7630 model How do I change/delete numbers to the personal speed dial numbers. Second, one of our phones has two buttons on the right lit up in Red like there are no...

If you mean the 10 number stored in 00-09, from the phone, pick up the handset (or press intercom) and dial *30 00-09 9 plus the number and # You'll hear a confirming tone. That stores the number. To dial, you press Autodial *00-09 and it dials the number.

What's under the buttons? Press PROG and the button and it will show what's there. Probably a digital station that isn't there. Press 2 and STORE and you'll clear the button.

We have a panasonic kx-t7630 and our background mucic is horrible. how do we change it to something else or to the radio

Is it horrible because you own the business, or are you just an employee who doesn't like the promotion on hold?

Playing the radio as BGM with only a single source is illegal unless you pay royalties. Your boss may want the customers to hear what he as to say. Your radio listening pleasure isn't his concern.

If you have a TDA100 or higher system, there are 2 music sources. With luck, you can put a radio on MOH-2, and dial *7512 to hear it. If not, then dial *7510 and don't listen to anything.

How do I program numbers into the system (not personal) speed dial directory on the KX-T7630

The installer or system manager has access to system program 001, either by a phone or by the maintenance console. All system speed dial numbers and names are entered from there.

How to modify details in system speed dial

Easiest way would be to log into the programming tool and make the change there. However if you do not have access to the tool you should ask you installer to provide you with it. There is a user mode that will allow you to change only the Speed dial numbers and text.

Setting the date

By programming, these are programs 000,001 and 002 for Date and Time, Speed Dial number, and Speed Dial Name.

Date and time programming is easy, I don't wish manual speed dial entry on my worst enemy. However, if you like a challenge, I'm going to give you a link to the programming manual.
http://public.carl.airpost.net/TDA/TDA_PTPM_32.pdf

Start with page 12, since you'll need it to get into programming.
Your key sequences begin on page 16. After you put the first 5 or 10 speed dial numbers and names in, you'll get the hang of entering names in the directory. Nothing changes until you press ENTER or STORE. Each speed dial number starts with a trunk access code (usually 9) as part of the number. In name entry, each time you press the key it changes a letter. In a TDA IIRC 7 presses of the 2 key will get you ABCabc2.

Speed Dialing

There are actually many ways to program them, and dialing them can be different depending on the system involved.

You can have speed numbers on each extension (up to 10) and system wide (up to 1000). In addition, you can have telephone numbers associated with buttons on the phone allowing one-touch dialing.

How it is done depends on which system you have and how it was programmed by your installer.

Kx-t7630 product spport

This is how I did it:
1. Press the 'Program' button 2. Then dial ** (star, star) 3. Enter the password (usually 1234) 4. Press 'Next' until you get to 'Ext Name' 5. Press 'Enter' 6. You will need to know the Extension Number of you phone, when you find out enter it (eg: 104 or whatever yours is) 7. Press 'Clear' to get rid of the old name then start entering the new name via the number keys. Note: If you keep cycling through the letter on each number you can get to lowercase or uppercase letters. 8. Press 'Enter' then you are all done... pick and hang up the handset.
