What kind of vehicle are you working on? Usually head bolts are torqued betweent 50 to 70 ft/lbs. so yeah, you'll need to put a long breaker bar on it, make sure it's at least 1/2 " drive so you don't break your tool
It's either your headphone is no longer working or your phone's headset jack (2.5 mm) might be causing the issue. Try to use a different headphone and if it still don't work please bring handset to a repair center.
