SOURCE: Hi, My SAMSUNG LE40R88BDX/XEU LCD 40

It sounds like the power supply board has some bad capacitors that need to be replaced. Samsung is covering the cost to repair this problem on some models. You can call 1-800-samsung to find out if your unit is covered.

My tv will not turn on, it just clicks but doesnt

You will need to have the power supply board replaced. This is a common problem and Samsung has re-designed the new boards so this will not happen again. You can call 1-800-samsung for the nearest authorizd service center.

My samsung le40r88bdx wont turn on just keeps clicking!

This seems to be a common problem and is possibly caused by samsung using faulty capacitors in the power supply. It seems to happen to lots of different samsung models. If your TV is out of warranty and you can manage a soldering iron, you can have a go at fixing it yourself (or someone with basic electronics skills) . Check out http://www.earthinfo.org/samsung-tv-makes-a-strange-clicking-sound/ where there is a tutorial on how to do it yourself.

Locked control pad

Try a Logitech Harmony universal remote, they can be uploaded with the drivers from the internet and this might do the trick. Otherwise you can contact Samsung and ask for a replacement of the original remote.
