To answer a ringing line by just lifting the handset that phone has to be programmed to ring on that line. This is done in the programming mode under 'terminals&sets/show set__/Line Access/Line assignment/Show line:__/...then your choices are: Appear and ring,Appear only, or Unassigned. Choose appear and ring on each line you want to answer from that telephone. Hope this helps.

Can not phone out or receive phone calls bt say my line is ok, my broad band works ok but not my phone

When did it start?
You haven't mentioned what you hear when you lift the receiver and try to dial out.
Please try this: (A process of elimination.)
- Unplug your modem from the telephone line.
- Plug your telephone directly to the telephone line without going through the line filter.
- It should work OK. If the phone is not defective, you should hear a clear dial tone.
- Now connect your phone through the line filter and try to use it again.
- If it does not work then you need a new line filter for your telephone.
- If it works, then re-connect your modem back to the telephone line like it was before.

If the modem knocks out your phone again, please contact the modem supplier.

How does one forward incomming calls on a uniden 2.4ghz cordless phone?

Cordless phones can not 'forward' a call to an outside line.
Forwarding must be controlled by the ATT, Verizon, or landline provider.
Please contact your provider to determine if you have call forwarding feature built into your service package.

Then, follow the instructions of your landline phone provider.
Here is the instructions for Verizon:

Activating Call Forwarding
You can activate Call Forwarding whenever you want your calls to be sent to another phone, including a mobile phone. Once activated, all your calls will be sent to the forwarding number you request. Each time a call is forwarded, you will hear one short reminder tone on your home phone, but you will not be able to answer the call from your home number.

  1. Lift your telephone's receiver and listen for a dial tone.

  2. Press star.gif7.gif2.gif.
In some areas you must use 7.gif2.gifpound.gif
Dial 1172 on rotary or pulse-dialing phones.

  3. When you hear the tone, set or change the Call Forwarding number by dialing the telephone number where you want your calls transferred.
You will hear the number you entered ring. When the number is answered, Call Forwarding is activated.

  4. If the call is not answered or the line is busy, hang up and call the number again within two minutes.
You will hear two short tones telling you that Call Forwarding is activated.

  5. Hang up the receiver.

Modem problem

Disconnect the phone line from the modem and connect a normal phone to this phone line. Lift the handset and check it you have a dial tone and see if you can dial out.
If you don't get a dial tone then there is a fault with the phone line and it needs to be repaired before you can use your modem.

Transfer

Do you mean send the call to another phone?
Make sure the line is not on hold (push the caller's line) then push Cnf/Trn, dial the extension you want the call to go to, then hang up.
The person you're sending to will receive that call on their speakerphone button and it will ring in a different tone.

KX-T7730 - seems locked into a program

You have a couple of answers, depending on which phone system the phone is connected to.

Pres PROGRAM and dial 1. If the display says PREF. OUT then dial 1 and press STORE then PROG. You now have no PREFERENCE so you get the intercom by default. You get it back or change it by PROG 12 for idle line, or 13x (1-8) for a specific line.

If you didn't get anything with those numbers, try PROG 19 STORE. Then the AUTO ANS key will step you through the choices. That's used on TDA TDE and TAW boxes.
