Saw motor is sparking

Most of the time sparks in these tools come from where the brushes make contact with the armature. Some causes for sparks are: The brushes are worn down to where they don't make firm contact with the armature. Brush springs overheated and no longer push the brush down on the armature. The comutator on the armature is damaged and causes the brushes to spark excessivly. You can take it apart and try to find which parts are hurt but I don't know if any Clarke Power Products parts are still available. The company went out of business around 2009 so you'd have to find someone with left over parts. It may be easier to buy new and go with a name brand and new warranty.

Problem on parts replacement-i.e., carbon brush. where can i buy?im from bulacan philippines

You can get carbon brushes from any electric motor - have a look around scrap dealers for vacuum cleaners, washing machines, alternators from cars etc - you may find an appropriate brush from there.

You can also try eBay
or the manufacturer's website

if you still have problems come back and add information such as the make and model of the chain saw AND the exact parts you require - I can help you more then.

Am I wise to purchase a Remington Pole Saw or should look for another manufacturer? Which Remington Pole Saw would you purchase: a. 18V Cordless b. 10" Electric

Remington Saws have ceased operations and, unless you like to make your own replacement parts, they are prone to failure. The gearbox is sealed and the motor brushes are not available anywhere. Look elsewhere!

My Delta band saw motor is having issues. I was

I would bet it's the Motor Brushes. They are locaded on the housing of the saw, accesed by unscrewing the plug. The brushes are replaceable and your saw will be fixed.Where to buy replacents could be an issue,Check manufacturer or search power tool replacement motor brushes. If stuck you can try to unscrew the plug the brush is at the bottom engaging the motor armerure, there shoud be a spring keeping contact.Inspect brush condition it looks like a carbon block worn to the curve of the motor.Go online do a search on how electric motors work you'll see exactly what I'm explaining.Cheap part easy fix.Good Luck.
