NEFF Hob Wok Ignition Not Working.

It sounds like there may be an issue with the ignition system specifically for the wok burner. Here are a few potential causes:
  1. Faulty Ignition Head: The ignition head may not be generating enough spark to ignite the gas. Since you mentioned that a weak spark can be seen when foil is placed between the ignition head and earth, this could indicate a weak spark from the ignition head.
  2. Dirty Ignition Head: If the ignition head is dirty or covered in grime, it may not be able to generate a strong spark. You can try cleaning the ignition head with a soft brush or a toothbrush to remove any debris or buildup.
  3. Loose Connections: Check to make sure all the electrical connections for the ignition system are tight and secure. A loose connection could cause the ignition to fail.
  4. Faulty Spark Module: The spark module provides power to the ignition system. If it's faulty, the ignition may not work properly. However, since the other burners are working fine, it's less likely that the spark module is the issue.
If none of these solutions work, it may be best to call a professional to diagnose and repair the issue.

Igniter works, but the clicking doesn't stop

Hello,

The electrode (spark plug) for that burner is not telling the spark module the burner is lit and go ahead and turn off the spark. That electrode and the wiring on it need to be replaced, from that burner back to the spark module. I found this place online that sells that part http://www.expertappliance.com/partfinder-gas-stove-elite.php

1 IGNITER ON MY FRIGIDAIRE STOVE TOP SNAPS BUT DOES NOT LITE I DO HAVE GAS PRESENT

If the other burners are working and you hear gas and the sparking working, the burner may be clogged. This happened to me when some soup boiled over one time. Try lighting it manually. i.e. Hold a lighter, preferably one with long stem, while slowly turning on the burner. If the burner is clogged, you may need to hold the lighter in different places. If this succeeds, let it burn for a couple minutes and this may clear the burner. If it still doesn't work you will need to clean the burner. Most of the time the front and back burners share a sparker. Good luck and let us know how if this has sparked a solution.

GE profile gas cooktop - sparker firing with knobs turned off?

replace your spark module
have you spilled liquid on the cooktop recently?
if yes let it dry for a couple of days and see what happens.
sometimes when you spill liquid on the cooktop it grounds out the spark module and it will continue to spark until it drys.
let me know if you need more help

Electric spark starter on one of the burner runs continuously

check the spark head on that particular burner first for dirt, they all need to be clean to recognize the flame after ignition and sense the flame to shut off the sparker module after ignition, and if not you will need to replace the spark module that fires the sparkers itself, but try cleaning sparkers and underneath where the wires connect to the sparkers first for contamination, its cheaper than starting to replace parts

Top left burner sparks, lights, but keeps sparking

Remove the burner cover so you can check the connections. If both connections are solid, the spark module is faulty and will have to be replaced. If the range is less than one year old it should be under warranty.

Only the infared burner does not ignite.

If you have a push button sparker the wire may be off or the sparker may be worn. You can check for spark when it is dark out. If you dont think you have spark then try to light the burner the "old school" way just hold a match or flame to the white area and then turn and hold the gas knob. If you can light it the old school way then its your spark. I would remove the sparker (unscrew the plastic nut on it remove the wire if its stll on) and test it on your hand. If the sparker works you will know because you will get a shock from the end of it. If you dont get a shock then you need to buy a new one. I hope this helps

SPECTRA GE GAS STOVE

Try cleaning the sparker with file to better the spark. If you can adjust the angle of the sparker closer to the gas nozzle would help to.

The sparker for the gas hob on my Baumatic B144SS is not working, yet the electricity is on and both the light and fan are working! Is there any way I can get it to work?? Cheers

You need to clean up burner and the sparker head from dirt which acts like isolator and prevent spark to jump. Burner must have metal to metal contact with the range casing in order to work. Grease, oil and burned liquids like milk act like isolators and prevent contact between burner and the casing (mass).

Just unplug the range from the wall, take off burner, scrub and wash off all the dirt from it and from its seat to the very metal. Dry it out completely and put back in place. Plug in the range and give it a try.
