If you know what you are looking for, it won't really take you long. It is only the confusion that will elongate and extend the process for you. A user with a one-pointed mind will not have to walk in circles looking for the right method. They will already know what they want and they will get it.

However, acquiring the right knowledge to choose the right Yahoo backup tool takes time and since you do not have time, you cannot take this approach. The only way through which you can get a reliable and useful yahoo backup tool without investing much time and effort is with the help of a professional tool that works for you.

Now, this will also take some time and research if you don't already know something about the types of professional tools or the limitations that they have. This is where expert recommendations come into play.
You should try Mail backup X by InventPure if you don't have the time to find the right tool for yourself. You can trust this tool since it is a 5-star rated tool which works on both mac and windows. More than 40,000 users have worked with Mail backup X and they approve of its performance and results. Why don't you try it for yourself?

Making Yahoo backup isn't a problem. You can simply use any method from the manual method and from the using third party tool. I prefer you to choose the Third-party Yahoo backup tool to make a backup because the manual method is quite difficult and time-consuming

My yahoo email on my cpu laptop keeps asking for my user and pass over and over and over again!!

if you are using something like OUTLOOK then understand this. a server will lockout if multiple failures occur, and they take 24hrs to unwind. so wait 24hrs. then access the yahoo through the yahoo website login NOT OUTLOOK if that fails its on LOCKOUT. the reason i am guessing outlook, is because if you ever, even once start typing in the password, even if its right, it sets a flag to say this account has never worked yet, and that only gets reset when a successful send/receive completes, but because of the 24hr lockout, you just keep trying and trying and convincing yourself the password is right so listen very carefully if it ever asks for a password NEVER EVER EVER start entering it. wait the 24hrs and it will start working properly again. if not just cross off outlook (or whatever mail program it is) and then go to control panel--Mail and retype in the ACCOUNT setup there which does NOT try a send/receive and is the only clean way to ensure your password is typed in correctly in case you got so annoyed you tried old ones or whatever.

Emails no longer come to Outlook but to internet provider (Cox)

Hi Martha,

When you logged in to webmail did it ask you to change your password? Does a box popup in Outlook asking you to change your password as soon as it opens?

If it does just enter your new password in the outlook window.

username: yourcoxusername
pass: your new webmail password

Cannot get Yahoo to sync with Outlook with Windows 7.

How do I set up Yahoo! Sync?

1. Configure which applications to sync
- Yahoo! Sync synchronizes Yahoo!:
  • Address Book
  • Calendar
- Yahoo! Sync can sync one way or two way.
  • 2 – way, Changes you make to either Yahoo! calendar or Outlook Calendar will sync to the other side.
  • 1 – way : From Outlook to Yahoo!, Outlook will be your source of truth. Any changes you make in Outlook will be synced to Yahoo! but changes made in Yahoo! will not sync to Outlook.
  • 1 – way : From Yahoo! to Outlook, Yahoo! will be your source of truth. Any changes you make in Yahoo! will be synced to Outlook but changes made in Outlook will not sync to Yahoo!.
2. Configure how often Yahoo! Sync will synchronize changes

  • Automatic sync ensures that your data stays up-to-date between Outlook and Yahoo at all times. It also ensures that you have fewer opportunities for data conflict. We strongly suggest that you enable Automatic sync by selecting Yes, then clicking Next. 30 or 60 minutes is the recommended interval.
  • If the Manual Sync option is selected, Yahoo! Sync will only synchronize your data when you initiate it. Just click the orange Yahoo! Sync icon in the task bar at the bottom right of your screen and select “Sync Now”.
  • Even if automatic sync is enabled, you can manually initiate a sync whenever you like. Just click the orange Yahoo! Sync icon in the task bar at the bottom right of your screen and select “Sync Now”.
  • Click Next.
3. Yahoo ID and password
Before starting your very first sync, Yahoo! Sync will ask you for your Yahoo! username and password. Use the same username and password you would use when logging into other Yahoo! services. Remember that your username and password is case-sensitive. Enter your information carefully.
Outlook users: Outlook may be configured to ask for your username and password whenever Outlook is used. This step only applies to you if, when you open Outlook, you’re asked to enter a username and password. If this applies to you, enable auto-login on Outlook. Here’s how: go to the Windows “Control Panel” and double click “Mail”. Click “Show Profiles”. Select “Always use this profile” and select the profile you want to sync to.
Tip: Your username and password will be safely stored on your computer. We store your username and password in a secure format and will occasionally ask you to confirm the password for added security.
4. Finish
Once you click Finish, your first sync will automatically begin. You can tell when a sync is in progress because the orange icon in the bottom right corner of your computer will be spinning. If you have a lot of contact or calendar information the first sync can take a lot of time.

Trying to set up outlook but dont know incoming and outgoing servers how do i find out

The incoming and outgoing mail servers are going to be the ones used by your ISP(internet service provider:Time Warner,Verizon, ect) if you use their mail service or a web based service(Yahoo,MSN,ect). So you can first start with your actual e-mail address. If your e-mail address is [email protected] then you e-mail provider is yahoo. You will then need to goto the website for your e-mail provider and get the incoming and outgoing e-mail server info from them. You will also need your username and password for your e-mail account. Then set up a new e-mail account on outlook express using the information. Also some mail servers require authentication so you might need to configure those settings on outlook exprerss also.
