My wii has a error, the message states that an occurred. Press the eject button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to wii Operations manual for help troubleshooting. What should I do?

Is it just one game that does this? Does it happen in the middle of a game or right away? Is the game an import?

I would call Nintendo on this one.

well I have 3 kids and let me tell you this I had this happen a few times to me and guess what it was? the kids put the disk into the unit the wrong way.

Also as far as your case if it is not working 100% then it could be the lazer is out of alignment as well which is fixable.

Either you are using a backup in a non modded machine or if it is modded you will need to install gecko OS or similar

Your discs might be scratched, the disc reader might be faulty or dirty. You should try to clean both the disc and the drive.
