I accidentally deleted a recording... how do I recover this recording?

It is possible to recover your lost recordings.

First things first: DO NOT take any more recordings with the memory card that you want to recover records from in case you may quite possibly ruin your chances of recovery.

Then Connect the card to your computer as it should appear as a "Removable Drive" or put the card in a card reader attached to your PC.

Next, if you are comfortable with using a PC then you can download a data recovery utility that will recover your recordings with Wondershare Recovery Software from the following link:

Video Photo Recovery (if you are running Windows OS)
Mac Data Recovery (from MacUpdate site)

Do NOT try & write anything back to your card until you can recover your recordings safely!

My Sansa stopped playing videos and voice recording

You should not reformat the player unless you want to clear the mp3 player completely - erasing all music, recording, and other files completely.

Once you are done recording, the Sansa takes time trying to save the recorded files - it appears that it is freezing, but give it some time - it is just "thinking."

If the recorded files suddenly disappear, it is because the Sansa player has two modes - MSC mode and MTP mode. Files that appear in MTP mode will not appear in MSC mode and vice versa. If the recordings do not show up, go into your settings menu and switch the USB Mode.

Can't delete my music!

If you are able to use the Sansa Updater with your player, try formating it and using the updater to fix the things that are wrong with it. To format your player: 1) Goto "My Computer" and and right click your player's icon. 2) Move down the little menu that pops up when you right click it to "Format..." 3) Then, "Quick Format" it. 4) Then unplug your player from your PC. To download the Sansa Updater: 1) Click this link: http://sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376 2) Follow the instructions to install it. To get it to work: with most PC's it should load up all by it self when you plug it in if it is in a MSC mode or if it does it in a regular mode. (I have had no experience with this model only the newer Sansa models) NOTE: If you have Windows Vista, the updater will NOT work. You will need to contact th company through their website to get a different version of the updater. Good Luck! I hope this will help you in fixing your player. Have a nice day.
