My father in law who has ppor sight has recently purchased a Technika LCD 26-920 TV from Tesco. The remote control is toom small for him to see it. If I purchase one of the Universal Big Button remote's will it work with this TV?

To unlock DVD region on Tesco Technika 40F22B-FHD/DVD tv, you need to press Source or AV on the remote control and scroll to DVD, then press OK. Then you can make sure you have not loaded a DVD/CD, and then set the TV source to DVD. You may also need to adjust the Region settings in the DVD menu.

It appears to have one HDMI input port.

"SquareTrade" or TESCO (the Technika retailer)...

Personal opinion: paying NEARLY half again the purchase price for a "WARANTY" is pretty terrible (the price means they figure a
very high chance... THE SET IS GOING TO FAIL.

I'm thinking you are responding to a "registration" request
from one of these ORGANIZATIONS...

I poked around the TECSO site below and registration is
required to do anything at all... Your FLAT SCREEN (looks nice) was listed.. and offered 2 or 3 year EXTENDED warranty...

Notwithstanding the Technika 22's nearly 5 star rating...

BECAUSE of my FIXYA association... and I'm a cynical old man... (having recently learned of the terrible quality of (GUM-WRAPPER) CAPACITORS these "ENGINEERS" are using)...

I'd strongly suggest you do PROTECT your investment...

I do know SquareTrade has a good reputation here in the USA (and DO offer decent financial protection).

I just hate driving up the costs when repairing these things is ACTUALLY EASIER than GETTING THEM REPAIRED...

I think these warrantees are a deliberate scam... and there's a reason the nick-name for their repair technician is "SPARKY" .

need to know what revision it is, underneath the urc 1650-03 bit it should say: skyhd rev.9f where the 9f is your revision (using what it says on mine as an example) if you have a revision 9 remote try 2087 that worked for me

Alternativly you could buy a 'universal' remote control but you will then need a set up code to link it to your TV - I have checked a couple of websites that I use regularly but I can't find any codes for Technika TVs.

You might try it with Funai or Symphonic codes. They make some of Technika TVs.
