Lexmark x5250 flashing green power light

The flashing light could indicate either a communication problem between one of your cartridges and the printer, a short in one of the cartridges, paper jam or the cartridge carrier has stalled. Please follow the steps below to fix the problem:

  1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder. Make sure there are no foreign objects or debris in the feeder.
  2. Open the printer cover and remove both the cartridges.
  3. While the cover is open, ensure there are no paper jams and the cartridge carrier is free from obstructions.
  4. Close the printer cover.
  5. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reinsert one cartridge first.
  7. Close the printer cover and check the light status.
  8. If light on printer is normal, open the printer cover and reinsert the other cartridge. Check the light status.
  9. Replace whichever cartridge is causing the light to flash with a new cartridge. You can also try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if the other is faulty.
  10. Load some paper. Try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

Paper reloading on X5250

The paper goes into the automatic sheet feeder on the back of the printer. Please refer to the Lexmark X5250 User's Guide for a more comprehensive instructions on how to use the printer's features and functions.
I hope this helps.

Not able to scan but the window is saying ink is low, although I am scanning right to my computer

Try to remove the cartridges from your printer. Cancel any errors popping up on the screen. Try to scan again. You should be able to continue scanning even without the cartridges.

Printer will not print or copy anything. Display on printer says "right cartridge incorrect" even though it is the correct cartridge.

Try to reseat the right cartridge into the cartridge carrier. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it.
It could also be that your right cartridge has gone bad. Try to insert a different known working cartridge to determine if your other cartridge is faulty.

Hello my printer wont work, the powerbutton is blinking and i hear a tikking noise. is mij printer broken?? lexmark x5250

It could an alignment problem, a paper jam, or something blocking the paper path. Open the printer cover and remove both the cartridges. While the cover is open, check the cartridge area for any obstructions in the cartridge carrier's path. Check any transparent strip(encoder strip) that has become loose from its position. If there's nothing out of the ordinary, close the cover. Unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reinsert both cartridges and make sure they properly inserted and secured. Close the cover and try to print again.

It says invalid black cartridge, but I have a lexmark cartridge.

There may be debris that is blocking the communication between the cartridge and the printer. Remove the cartridge and unplug the printer from the power supply. Take a little bit of rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab and wipe off the contacts on the cartridge as well as the contacts inside of the printer. Allow both to dry for a few minutes before plugging the printer back in and re-installing the cartridge. This should clear up any miscommunication between the two.

RResetting Cartridges after refilling

Can't be reset. The Lexmark 32 & 33 (and porbably som others) contain a low ink sensor in the cartridge that once activated can NOT be reset. The key would be you have to refill before the low ink sensor gets activated. Don't know at what ink level that is, probably around 1/4 remaining.
