Need to know the color codes to hook up the wires to my DB 335 Clarion CD player, or need the schematics.

While this diagram may not be specific to your CD player, it appears to cover multiple models of Clarion mobile products:

I need to install a max385vd in a 2002 pord f-350, do i need an install kit?

Regardless of whether this is an amp or a head unit, an install kit is either very helpful or necessary. If it's an amp, you'll need it for sure - you can't power an amp with 18 gauge factory power wiring like a head unit can use. You need to get at least 10 gauge power and ground wire, 18 gauge remote turn-on wire, and RCA patch cables to conduct the sound. If you have a factory head unit, you'll also need a line-level adapter to give you a source for the RCA patch cables.

If this is a head unit, you'll need the adapter harness to plug your existing stereo harnesses into the new head unit. It makes it simple - the wires on the new head unit are color-coded for what they do, and the adapter harness is identically coded. Match the colors, then plug it in. You may also need an antenna wire adapter (some cars require this).

Wireing harness.

Hi diamante,

For your reference, pls see below image.
d271491.jpg

Further, here is a page of the official Clarion standard wirings and their color codes.

Here is a source of the connector for your reference. You don’t need the speaker connector since your unit does not have any built-in amps.

Additionally, if your vehicle’s wiring connections are not of the ISO-standard type or if you just want to verify, please follow this link for the installation adapters you may need to fit your Clarion DRX-9675Z CD Player to your particular vehicle.

Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
