When I try to print, my Canon Pixma MP 530 flashes an alarm light. The computer tells me it is error number 5C10. Do you know any solutions?

Try power cycling the unit. Turn it off or unplug it for at least 10 seconds. If that doesn't help, the error code means a failure of the ink system. Sometimes replacing the printhead will help but not always. (Printheads are not-returnable.) If a new printhead doesn't help, the only solution is having the printer serviced. This is often not worth the cost versus the prices of new printers with out-of-warranty units.

I hope this helps.

Service error 5c10

This error is a message indicating print head/ink failure on the printer.
I would try the following 2 things:
1. replace the ink cartridges/print heads. test to see if the problem is fixed.
2. If this does not solve the issue, you may need to either send it to the manufacturer for repairs (if under warranty), send it to a local repair person to service- or look for a new printer to buy (which may actually save you money).

Error message : service error 5c10 on a canon

You can try and clear the error by holding down the power button and waiting for it to turn off then wait 30 seconds and turn it back on. {you might need to unplug it to get it to turn off}

or

Hold down the stop/reset and then push the power button while the printer is on. The printer should shut off then wait 30 seconds and then hold the stop/reset again and push the power button and the printer should turn on with the error cleared.

I'm getting an error 5c10 on my printer. how do i

Try to reset the printer by turning it off and then back on. (Unplugging the power and data cables often gets a better system reset.) If that doesn't work, the printer may need professional repair. If it is under warranty, contact Canon. Otherwise you will need to decide if it is worth repairing (with a ~$50 charge just to diagnose the problem).

I hope this helps.
