I called the number posted and was amazed by how fast i got an tech and how helpful and kind the people at Nintendo are. The told me to take the batteries out an wait 60 sec then put them back in due to the fact my old batteries had lost power and needed replaced the Wii Balance Board needed that 60 sec with out batteries in order to clear the battery memory. Now it works like it always did.

How to connect wii fit board to the wii

Important Note!
Do Not use "One-Time Mode" sync.
Syncing can be completed only if a compatible game disc is running in the console. The Wii Balance Board may need to be synced to each compatible game individually. Some games may require you to go into a specific screen to sync the Wii Balance Board. These sync settings will be saved even after the console is turned off.

1. Insert a Wii Balance Board compatible game disc in the Wii console.
2. Use the Wii Remote to select the Disc Channel from the Wii Menu, then select "Start" to begin the game.3. Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console.4. Remove the Battery Cover on the bottom of the Wii Balance Board.
5. Press and release the SYNC button on the Wii Balance Board. The Power LED on the board will start blinking.
6. Press and release the SYNC button on the console while the Power LED on the board is still blinking.
7. The Power LED will stop blinking and light steadily once the synchronization is complete.8. Replace the battery cover and return the board to the normal operating position.

Our board won't stay on when the button is pressed. We have changed the batteries but there is no change

Balance Board will only power on if Wii Fit or another balance board compatible game is running on the Wii when you pwer it on and you may need to recalibrate and resync again.

Wii fit wont turn on, switch wont stay in

The switch on a Wii balance board is not one that stays in, it is not a spring loaded toggle switch. Also it will only stay on if you are in a game that uses it (like Fit, or a select few others). This is a battery save feature. If you are not logged in to a game that uses it the balance board senses that it is useless and turns off after a couple of seconds. This is true even if you have a game that uses it in the Wii but you are in the menu.

My wii fit board won't connect with tv is the blue light suppose to stay on all the time or flash

Hi, thanks for using Fixya!
  • Open the SD card slot on the nintendo wii, open the battery panel on the wii balance board.

  • Press the two red sync buttons on the wii console and the balance board and hold for 3 seconds.

  • The blue light on the back of the wii balance board should flash for 5-10 seconds and then stay blue.

  • If this doesn't work then try changing the batteries and trying again.

If it still isn't connecting then the problem is something a proper nintendo expert will have to help fix.

Thanks, I hope I have been of assistance.

The wii fit balance board will not stay on

I dont have a wii fit balance board, but I might know the problem. It probably wont sync if you are either too close to the tv or way too far from the screen. Another idea is probably it has to be kinda close to the wii console to keep it synced. Hope that helps.

Power led light

If there is no reason for the Wii Balance Board to be on, it will automatically turn off. Start up a game that uses the Balance (Wii Fit) and it will tell you when to turn on the Wii Balance Board. If you still have problems, try to sync the Balance Board again.
