FDW60 Fault Hi, I have exactly the same problem. My dishwasher starts and washes ok but appears to get very hot during the drying phase and then the two lights fast and eco flash warning of a heater problem. I suspect either the heater, thermostat or control PCB. As the rest of the cycle seems of and the water gets hot then I'm assuming the heater and thermostat are OK. When the dishwasher attempts to dry is when the problem starts. Did anyone find out what there fault was? Thanks

I have a fdw60 dishwasher when it goes through its wash cycle its starts and stops all the way through and the top spray arm does not rotate and i know the arm is not blocked there are no lights...

possibly a water pressure problem that's where I would start, could be control board get on-line parts diagram and check the diagram for other sensors that that unit may have.

Hotpoint fdw60 dishwasher, heater not heating water or drying.

If the heater is ok and the wiring is also not burnt out, then the fault will likely be the heater relay on the pcb. (Which means usually replacing the board).

HOTPOINT DISHWASHER FDW60

Hi,

I have just had my dishwasher fixed by Hotpoint, as the heater was working and the dishwasher only stopped with the fast and delicate lights just before the drying process he replaced the main control board. This has solved the problem, I suspected the fault to be the thermistor as the heater seemed to be getting to hot but I had no idea where it was.

It turns out the thermistor is attached to the main control board and hangs down behind the front door that gives just a rough temperature level for the main control board.

As it's soldered directly onto the control board I would suggest replacing the whole control pcb for anyone with this fault unless you can find any spec details for the thermistor.

Dishwasher stops inbetween rinse and dry

hi
if the problem faults within the first 1 minute the first check the connections on the main module behind the control panel,as you you look at the control panel there is a pink connection to the left,if this looks like it has got hot then theres yopur problem(you will find that the joint on the board has come loose from the soldered joint, module requires replacing.
if this connection looks ok then the heater is open curcuit and will require replacing.
