Make sure your not using it on a highly reflective surface. Use a mouse pad , or use it on a dull surface.

Re-install ur tablet and take the battery out of the mouse while installing, Get a new battery, and then try it again.

There is a small reset button on the bottom of the mouse push and hold it in for a couple seconds.

You would need to download and install software and drivers for mouse from the manufacturer to get a battery saving option.

I have a miscrosoft wireless laser mouse 6000, and it also stopped working on my laptop. I changed the battery, still not working. I tested the battery in another device, and it was good. I moved the mouse to another computer, and it did not work. The light on the usb connector was lit. [No changes at all to my laptop.]. It seemed like there was no power to the mouse, and I looked at the contacts inside the mouse. The contact just inside the battery opening appeared to be bent down away from the contact on the battery tray. So, I pulled it up a little so it would connect when the battery drawer closed, and (after tweaking it a couple of times), it finally worked!

Is there a resync button on the bottom and on the base station (that is on the end of the usb plug that you plug into your computer)? Press the one on the base station first, then the one on the mouse within a few seconds.

You could also:

Try another set of batteries.
Try another USB port.

I am still waiting to know what to do.Is there a substitute for this mouse?

For that problem I will suggest to use USB optical mouse. Besides, it cost chip and most of all its weightless than with battery wireless mouse. I have tried to use it and I totally satisfied with the result. Hope it help.

have you checked that it is the USB port if it is not in the USB port it will not respond
