You can do it yourself if your handy. Lots of places out there selling them. Not too bad a job. Takes some patience gettiog the old one off.. If its really rubber and not foam, it'll come off in one peice. Have to be carefull the get the cone centered when ya glue the new one in. If you decide to tackle it get one with instructions and/or a good web search on the surround replacement.

What speaker can i replace the sub with in my sunfire hrs 12 inch home subwoofer?

Did you burn out the speaker winding or did you break the cone surround? The latter can be fixed for nominal cost and U will have the perfect fix..

If speaker is burnt out it needs to be replaced with a unit that has the same electrical and acoustical characteristics as the original.

Ebay sell Cerwin Vega Surround (rubber bit) replacements. If he has ripped the cone too, appart from replacing his back legs with wheels (joke!), contact Cerwin Vega directly and they will send you out a new "driver". These are easily fitted at home by any one with a screwdriver

Speaker repair

Contact MMats Pro Audio at 561-842-0600. They can re-cone it for you, or sell you the re-cone kit. If that does not work for you, contact MWA Speaker Parts in Tuscon - 520-647-7193. They can sell you a re-cone kit, or they can direct you to a speaker repair center near you. A third option would be to contact Sundown Audio in Troutman, NC. They may be able to re-cone it for you.

Mmatsd500.2

First, the specs:
  • PPI 4200am = 50x4 at 4 ohms, 100x4 at 2 ohms
  • Alpine 3553 = 35x4 at 4 ohms, 50x4 at 2 ohms
  • Mmats D500.2 = 350x1 at 4 ohms, 500x1 at 2 ohms
  • 3x Mmats Procast 12 = Dual 4 ohm VC
  • 1x JL 15w6 = Dual 6 ohm VC
  • 2x JL 15w0 = Single 8 ohm VC
Second, I don't think I would recommend mixing n' matching the subs. One of the subs would always be working harder than the rest. If you want to run multiple subs, make them all the same. Sometimes, you can get away with it if they are all the same voice coil impedance, but in this case you've got dual 4 ohm, dual 6 ohm, and single 8 ohm subs all in the mix.

If it were me, I'd probably stay with the single 15w6. But it's your money :)
