If your Whirlpool LTE6234DQ3 dryer is not drying clothes properly on the automatic/permanent press cycle, there are a few parts that may be causing the issue:
Moisture Sensor: The dryer's moisture sensor detects the level of moisture in the clothes and adjusts the drying time accordingly. If the sensor is dirty or faulty, it may not be able to accurately detect the moisture level, resulting in clothes not drying properly. Try cleaning the sensor with a soft cloth and see if that resolves the issue.
Thermostat: The dryer's thermostat regulates the temperature inside the drum. If the thermostat is faulty, it may not be able to regulate the temperature properly, leading to clothes not drying properly. A multimeter can be used to test the thermostat for continuity.
Heating Element: The heating element is responsible for generating heat in the dryer. If the element is faulty, the dryer may not be able to generate enough heat to properly dry clothes. A multimeter can be used to test the heating element for continuity.
Ventilation: Poor ventilation can also lead to clothes not drying properly. Make sure the dryer's venting system is clean and free of blockages.
It is recommended to have a professional technician inspect and diagnose the issue if you are not comfortable with checking and replacing these parts yourself.
clean out lint filter check the vent hose make sure you are getting a air flow out your vent hose if not its blocked inside no air no dry it need air to dry cloths heat only will not dry plenty of air heat quicker drying
when was the last time you cleaned your dryer?all a dryer does is move air around and if it can't cycle through the dryer the clothes won't dry. unplug the dryer and then you need to clean the duct that the lint filter slides into, vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is and clean out the vent line,if the vent line is a long run from the back of dryer to the outside vent i use a leaf blower to clean it out, make sure the outside vent is clear first then blow it out,if it's a short run vac it out, most problems start just from lint buildup, the clothes don't dry the dryer runs hot and parts start messin up,also vac out under your fridge, take the bottom kick plate off and vac it out,you can kill the compreesor if you don't,good luck
Your problem may be attributed to a clogged exhaust system (e.g.: clogged inside the dryer's vent, flexible vent behind dryer clogged and/or clogged inside wall, etc.).
Either your vent hose is kinked behind the dryer , or the vent line is stopped up . Pull the dryer out and remove the vent hose . Dry a load or 2 of clothes ( the first load will remove any humidity ) and it should dry normal . This will tell you if the vent line is restricted .
First unplug your dryer from the electrical outlet. Next pull your dryer out from the wall. DIsconnect your flex outlet hose from the dryer and make sure it is not stopped up with lint etc. Next check the wall adapter to make sure it is clear of lint etc going to the outside of the house. If both of these are clear look inside the dryer outlet by looking in the tube where the flex hose was connected. You will need a flashligt to do this. If there is anything stopping it up remove it. If your dryer is getting hot but not drying there is probably something keeping the air from going out of the dryer to the outdoors.
Check your exit vent outside of your house... what you can do is remove vent hose on back of your dryer... run dryer and feel the air coming out of the vent right behind your dryer.. now reinstall your vent line and check outside,,, see if you feel the same or about the same air flow... if your air flow is block, then your heat will not come on regularly to dry clothes... good luck
