Unplug your TV and place your TV with the screen down on your couch - unscrew the backside. Lift the back side On the side where the little switch board is where you can controle the volume and menu button's. The little switch board is connected with a cable to the main board. Unplug the cable. Now can only control your TV with the remote, but now the failure message will not appear anymore. The power button on the TV can still be used as this is connected directly on the main board.

Thankyou! Jlaplante 290. I had the same problem and was going to buy a new TV tomorrow as LG Service Phone said the problem is the mother board needing replacement. You, sir, just saved me 500 quid and saved the football game on TV . Thank you so very much! I have no idea why this works and how you found out this solution. Maybe you are some kind of wizard?

You may be connected to a Cable "Set-top" box, whose remote is a separate one. Either use two remotes or purchase a Universal remote to program both cable box & TV into one remote.

Lg tv has flashing warning

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices

This function is not available sign keeps coming on

Sounds like a problem with the remote where a function button on the remote is being pressed for a function which is not on the TV. Could be a fault in the remote or moisture or some other foreign body which has gotten into the remote. Try removing the batteries from the remote or covering the infra red receiver sensor on the TV. Hopefully this will stop it. It may alternatively be some other infra red source which is confusing the TV. The TV generally won't have unavailable functions in its own menu so it's most likely the remote. Hope this helps

Why does my lg650 smart tv keep disconnecting from wired internet

What is the actual model number of your LG TV, this would help. Also when you say keeps disconnecting, do you mean whilst it is on and functioning, or do you mean after it has been switched off?

Lg lcd tv function not available

How many times do this flashes? These flashes are called blinking codes, and are fault indications. You can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV, by these flashes, that occur at one time switch ON. If you wish to get more details, check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Time slide, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name/model number/IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.

My lg tv screen is black and wont turn on

Going to be a economic decision---not likely to be a do it yourself repair--consider taking to a shop for a estimate.

You might want to Google the model number with "parts" to see what boards are available and at what cost.

Do you know the sky+ remote code? So I can operate the volume control on the sky+ remote. I've tried loads already hope you can help.

Hi,

It would help to know the model number of your LG TV. However, you can try the generic codes for LG which I've listed here:

Rev 8 remote: 1293, 1206, 0206, 0065, 0904
Rev 6 remote: 0065, 0742, 0502, 0672, 0634, 0136,
Rev 4 remote: Same as Rev 6
RC1600/00 remote: codes not available and unlikely to work with your TV

** Your Sky remote version can be found on a sticker inside the battery compartment. **

Try these codes but if they don't work, please post back with your TV model number. It's possible that your remote does not have a code which will work with your TV, in which case, you will need to use the remote supplied with your TV to control volume and power functions. Unfortunately, when a TV is newer than the remote and uses a new flash pattern not programmed into that remote, the remote wont work. However manufacturers often keep the same flash patterns for common functions, so the generic codes might work for you.

I'm informed that a new Sky remote version is due but I've not been able to confirm this yet.

Hope this helps - please post back if you need further assistance.

BElectric

I have just purchased an LG32lcd 450 tv, I cannot get the handset on Sky to work as they do not have a code to do this as the tv is new to the market, can you please help with this

Hi,

OK, as you already discovered there is no specific code for your remote. You can try the generic codes for LG which I've listed below. Your TV may use the same flash patterns as some other older LG TVs so these codes might work.

Try these codes but if they don't work it's unlikely your remote will work with your TV - you will need to use the remote supplied with your TV to control volume and power functions. Unfortunately, when a TV is newer than the remote and uses a new flash pattern not programmed into that remote, the remote wont work. However manufacturers often keep the same flash patterns for common functions, so the generic codes might work for you.

I'm informed that a new Sky remote version is due - which will hopefully contain a specific code/flash pattern for your TV - but I've not been able to confirm this yet.

Hope this helps - please post back if you need further assistance.

My display keeps shutting off five minutes after starting to watch TV- the sound continues, but the screen is black and the red warning light flashes

Hi,

Please check the sequence in which your warning light flashes.

I will tell you what might be the problem according to the fashing of warning light,
If,

Flashing repeatedly --- Improper voltage supply
Flashing once --- Malfunctioning of fan
Flashing twice ---excessive temperature
Flashing 3 time or more--other problem

When flashing occurs please remove the power cord from receptacle and inform your dealer about the flashing sequence.

Thanx
