My Pioneer receiver is "Mutting" and I can not get any sound. There is no button on the receiver for "Mute". I tried unplugging and that did not work.

Sorry I didn't include this earlier. It is model: VSXD507S Digital signal processor. It does not have a mute button on the front panel. Thank you for your response.

I'm sure there is a Mute button somewhere but we need a model number to show you where it is. Alternately, turning the volume UP sometimes cancels muting on many products.

Bought a Pioneer SX580 receiver, everything lights up but can't get any sound

Do you know for sure that it works okay? i.e. did you hear it playing through speakers before you parted with your cash?

Have you checked for buttons that switch the speakers on/off (Speakers A/B A+B) or a manual mute button?

My pioneer vsx-d507s keeps turning on mute randomly and I can't turn it off of mute There is no mute button. I would really like the owners manual

I have had the same problem, since there is no "mute" button on the receiver panel. My power cord on the receiver was plugged into my cable box and I was told this is not correct. I unplugged the receiver from the cable box and plugged it into my power surge protector and no more "mute"!!! Hope this helps.

Mute will not disengage

Sounds maybe like you may have gotten something sticky by the buttons maybe its just physically **** not broken. Try Mr. Clean dilutted of course to unstick and clean the unit.

No sound

You have to isolate yellow-black cabel. This cabel was in contact with earth and it was the reason, why you have Mute on the display.
