SOURCE: i refill my cartridge hp

Hum.... D1660 is not easy to reset the ink level.

Whenever you print.... Press cancel buttom first and Press Power button(with holding cancel button) and let go at the same time... should hold about 3 sec.

At least you can get the print out... Little pain in the ****....

If you would like to save money, try refill kit by "ROADINK".
Not only they are easy, but also the printing quality is good.
For your better understanding pls check out my youtube video.
And will see how easy ink refill can be done.

Reset ink cartridge

Unfortunately you can't....

The ink level indicator cannot be manually re-set in the newer HP, Lexmark or Dell integrated ink cartridges, thus making it not usable. The OEMs all leverage 'fusible links' in the nozzle plate (internal to base of ink cartridge) which physically blows the resistors as the original ink is consumed...thus resetting the ink cartridge's ink level monitoring capability is simply not possible. The ink tracking feature is only available with a brand new ink cartridge.

However, losing this feature is not necessarily significant, because the ink level indicator usually has 20%-30% ink remaining when it shows "low on ink". Therefore, the warning has limited value, because customers who prematurely replace their cartridges when they see the "low ink" message are wasting a lot of residual ink.

Refer to any of the following videos which cover this 'low ink' subject in detail:

I replaced my ink cartridge and now my printer wont come on [email protected]

Have you refilled your cartridge? or used compatible?

If you refilled your cartridge, either you put in too much ink in it.
Try to **** out the ink and try back.

Your HP60 cartridge can be saved by refill.

HP deskjet D1660 - how to regionalise the cartridges

Hello there,

For regionalized ink, you need to call their customer care number located on the sticker of the unit.

They will help you regionalise your cartridges. It happened to me already and they just need to set something on your printer.

Please feel free to leave a testimonial if this works and please do not forget to click 4 thumbs.

Cheers!

I REFILLED MY HP CARTRIDGE WITH BLACK INK 818. WHEN I REINSERTED THE CARTRIDGE IT SHOWED ME AN ERROR " INCOMPATIBLE CARTRIDGE" PLS HELP I HAVE TRIED CLEANING THE CONTACTS. IT DIDNT HELP :(

I suspect that your cartridge has a chip in it which is telling the printer that it is empty. You will either have to buy a new cartridge (or good compatible) or try to reset the chip

Can you add duplex double sided option to HP d1660

No duplex option is available. The only way to duplex is manual. Meaning you have to print the first side, then turn the page over and re-insert into the printer. Then print the 2nd page onto the back of the first page. The reason this is not an option and generally you do not want to duplex on these machines is that the ink will tend to bleed thru the paper when prining on both sides of a piece of paper. You may have to use a little thincker paper to prevent this.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.
