I have a problem with the color. When I turned it on yesterday, there was a flash of green. Since then the colors have been very saturated. Very bright to very dark. The picture is fine-the sound is fine.

Hi,

I am Sorry to Hear regarding the Problem. Unplug the Unit for Few Minutes, say 15 Minutes and then Turn it ON. Do you still see the Problem?

Have you tried to Run DVD Player. If not Use it and Check, if that is still the Case?

If Yes, this is an Internal Failure and You need to Open the TV to get it Resolved. If you wish, you could Contact a Local TV Repairman to get it Resolved or let me know the Make and Model and i would be able to Guide you.

Make sure to take all the Precautions and all the Security Measures. Also, tell me How Old the Unit is?

Make sure that you need to have Tools like Multimeter and Magnifying Glass and you need to have the Schematics ( We could also Search for Cost effective Service Manual, if that is available with any Vendor ).

Let me know,so that we could Proceed.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

After cleaning the lenses on my 60P8342a tv and turning the color buttons in the back my tv is shutting off and on and I have a flashing power button, no pic or sound at times

How long was it back befor you turned on this potentiometers ?

Dust and more can be come into the potentiometers of a crt (cathode ray tube) projetion tv in the years that its old it is not strange.
Ist an older kind of model of projection tv.

Treat them with contact spray , also not only red the r g b potentiometers but all the potentiometers that are parts of the convergention panel. and adjust them on a screen with the base saturation of color to zero so you adjust a good gray tray with a balans without a red brown or green or blue surplus so that you have white gray black in balance if you have adjusted , tur back on the basic color saturation to your prefered level.

Chances are pretty good that the weather will be fine.
To see some brown spots on the board and replace any carbon composite resistors for carbon or metal film resistors in the print because of high tolerance over this kind of resistance.

I have a olevia tv and the color of the tv is green how can i fix the color ,after comcast fix something in the signal the tv color is green

I have a 532-b12 so it may be the same - but not sure. Push the small round "menu" button on the remote. A pinwheel should show up in the upper left corner. Use the up/down and left/right arrows to go to picture. From there, you can change, saturation, color, contrast, etc.

How do i fix high saturation

Press the Func. button to diplay color modes in the little display.
When the display shows Color to the far left, you can switch color modes on the button below. STD is standard saturation, HIGH is high saturation, ORG. is less saturated that STD, and finally B/W

There's a green hue over everything

One of your other color tubes( blue or red ), is blown. The green saturation you are seeing is beacuse you are missing a color to complete the picture. Rear projection t.v.'s are pretty cheap to fix with this problem. Just contact a t.v. repairman.

No Red color at all. The convergence feature does not work either. Lots of green and blue RCA Model D52W59

Red color gun has failed, which will make the picture over saturated with the other two colors(blue, green) the bad news is the three color guns need to be replace in a set(all at the same time) because if you only replace the red it will over saturate the older blue, green guns then your picture will be mostly red.Unfortunently in most cases it's not worth the investment, better off to purchase a new tv. Good luck !

Color picture jumps in and out of normal color mode . . .

You have bad solder connection in or around the Jungle IC and or color processing Circuits. Most commonly the area is the color cyrstal, located on the main board.

in your printer menu there should be a option for cleaning the printer heads. if not you need to remove the cartrages and clean yourself with rubbing alcohol. also clean off the cartrages also.this should get rid of the saturation problem.let me know if this helped.

Color problems and tv shutting off

My tv screen turns red as it heats up and the repairshop told me it would cost $600.00 for a new red projection gun how ever I don't think thats the case because it is a heat related issue. I think an ic or transistor is going bad and goes into saturation when it gots warm. I will be spraing some components with freeze spray and if my hunch is correct the color will temporarly correct its self when I spray the right component.
