1. Check the hardrive cable connection (data and DC supply). 2. Under the BIOS setting, make sure that the hardrive is detected (set to enhance mode), this will detects either SATA or PATA., Exit and Save new setting 3. If still no detect, your hardrive might defect n need new one
you don`t need hard drive controller or such a things in order of to install windows 7, just instert windows 7 installation cd into laptops dvd drive and restart ir, it should show on (usually on top left corner, before BIOS, press any key to boot from cd or dvd, ) thats it, it will guide you trough all the process...
Try going to the bios and reset the bios to load factory defaults and then reboot. If the same thing happens try taking the hard drive out and reboot, if the same thing happens again its not your hardrive because it would say no boot disk after post. Iam guesing it may be a bios fault because after the logo it goes blank not while loading the os(operating system).
Lost hard drive???? I'm guessing ya didnt misplace it, it just dont recognize the hard drive? If a hard drive is bad, a pc will not boot past level one diagnostics. Replace hard drive.
system BIOS on hp motherboard allow hp approved hardware to be detected.if you want install net adapter that was not approved you have to remove BIOS whitelist & then flash the hp motherboard with modified BIOS.
If you can access the bios and do a memory and hard drive test to make sure that your hardware is not faulty. Also, bad ram and hard drive is known to cause this stalling issue.
My Hp Compaq tc4400 Does not load Windows and when i try to install a new one and error Message apears saying that it cannot detect any hardrive, but when i press F9 for boot selection Notebook Hardrive is dected and availble, i tried removing the hardrive and re-insert it also it dint work could somebody help plssss
