MTX Thunder 3401 not responding. Lit but no sound.

Hi
I have the following installation :
Pioneer Avic X3BT head unit/GPS
Pioneer CDP 620 cd Changer
Ipod cable
MTX Thunder 3401 amplifier
MB Quart 284 subwoofer (open).
Yesterday suddenly, while I was listening to "Plastic beach" from Gorillaz, I increased the volume and ..no more bass coming out of the sub.
I checked : No fuses are blown (2 on the amplifier are ok, one from the battery connection is ok, the amplifier lits but it has no sound coming out.
I tried to change the output connection to the sub (in case a channel would be dead : nothing). I opened the sub : it is perfect.
I unmounted the head unit and checked the sb RCA's output : well connected. All the wires are ok. The RCA cable is hot so it seems the signal arrives to the amp. I also took an ipod and connected it directly to the rca input on the amplifier. nothing.
the amp's power seems to work, it's hot (normal temperature, I tried the prizm effects to see if any signal made the display blink, but no luck there.
I think something like transistors on the amp went down. any ideas ?

Hello, I have the pioneer AVIC 700bt. When I plug my Ipod nano into the USB adapter on the head unit, the Ipod display comes up right away and it shows that it is playing but there is no sound coming...

You will need to be using the CD-IU230V cable for the iPod.
After connections, you will also need to follow these step:
Press "menu".
Press "settings"
Press " AV Settings"
Press "AV1 Input" multiple times until it says iPod.

You will now be able to hear the sound from the ipod when it is selected as a source.

My mtx thunder 1501d car amp making noise in the subwoofers

This is common with pioneer head units, the rca jacks are not properly grounded and this lets engine noise come through the rcs cables. This thread explains a fix http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=337644.

Pioneer avic x1

GPS has global coverage. I see your problem is sourcing the map of Australia because the x1 comes only with Europe maps on CD. there may be a possibility the S2 maps work on the x1. Try contacting Pioneer Australia http://www.pioneer.com.au/customerservice/
