I just replaced my remote and still cannot get the unit to get past that silly blank screen. When I hook up the frame with the usb cable I can locate all th memory but I am stuck to get on from here. One of the last times that I switched it on using the manual buttons there was a quick flicker and the screen went into horizontal lines. I think I heard a possible arcing sound when I had pushed the exit button that last time. Could it be that the software in the frame is corrupted? Do I need to synchronize the remote first to the frame. I replaced the battery as I thought maybe it was dead but there is absolutely no response at the picture frame. Do you have any suggestions or solutions?

If you have the opportunity take it back, quick....these units have been problems for a lot of people and with little if any support from the manufacturer.
I am using this great LCD for about an year. But few times in the past my LCD didnt show up the display though the Green light was still ON, turning off the LCD and opening it again always solved the problem. But now My LCD completely went blank. Turning off/on didnt work at all now. I've tried couple of other tweaks mentioned on this site but they didnt work. I am just seeing a blank screen with green light ON. and ya theres a very low hissing sound coming from the LCD.
