Hi My whirlpool dryer just completely stoped working it is a lgn2000kq1 the warranty has expired but i was wondering what the most cost effictive way to fix it. I checked the vents in the back and also the electricity box but nothing is wrong it just wont start

I have a LGN2000KQ1 gas dryer and it won't heat up, what should I look for. It runs but doesn't heat up and dry the clothes.

check that you are getting gas and that the ignitor is sparking properly shut off the gas first remove the cover also get an amp meter hook the meter on one of the igniotr wires should read 3.3 amps if it is less then change the ignitor hope this helps

Hi.

Check thermostat Make sure you are getting power to the element and stat.


If not , then timer probably faulty

Intermittent ignition

my dryer just stoped. when i press the start button it makes a noise and then theirs a small burnig smell if i turn the tumbler it works for awile then back to the dryer being stoped again.
