Ok, that only happens when there is something blocking the signal to your Wii's antenna. Try moving the balance board further away from the television.
Have new crown compatible fitness board, new batteries inserted, inserted Wii fitness disc, choose training, then trial, choose hula hoop game, used remote press A to start.
Screen says place me on a flat floor and press POWER button before stepping onto me
Followed the instructions power button flashes blue, as do the four corners then the lights go out - then nothing happening, still have the same message place flat on floor etc....
Have also tried the Wii Balance Board Check - followed all instructions last one says please turn on power. Pressed button flashes blue as do four corners then they go out
Am I doing something wrong or Is this a faulty board ?
there is a time frame that will auto shut off to save power or sometimes in certain games like punch out this happens alot its bugs that they never fixed just step back on it ect to get it going again its a pain but nothing else to do til nintendo fixes there own issue
It sounds like the batteries maybe low. To check this press the home button on the wii remote and you can check the status of the battery if you look at the controller list that comes up when you push the home button.
If this is fine try resyncing the balance board. To do this follow the guide here:
First, I would check the batteries in the Wii Remote. Low batteries will make the Wii Remote signal flicker. After that, I would re-sync the Wii remote by opening the back of the remote and pressing the sync button, after you turn the Wii on, of course.
If the Wii Balance Board fails to operate, or operates incorrectly, follow the steps below before seeking
assistance.
A. Check the batteries.
B. Check to be sure there is nothing pressing against the bottom.
C. If you are using it on soft carpet, put the foot extensions on.
1. The Wii Balance Board does not respond.
• Make sure the power is turned on. The blue Power LED should be lit if the Power Button has been
pressed. (The Power Button faces away from the TV.)
• Make sure the board has been placed correctly (see page 6).
• Make sure the batteries have been inserted correctly and are not been depleted.
• Make sure the game you are playing is compatible with the Wii Balance Board.
• Review the synchronization procedure on pages 7-8 and make sure this has been done correctly.
This procedure must be done for each Wii Balance Board compatible game.
• If, after verifying the steps above, the Wii Balance Board does not work, try the following:
1. Turn off the power of the Wii console with the POWER Button on the front of the console.
2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet for a few seconds, then plug it back in again.
3. Turn on the power of the Wii console.
4. Repeat the steps in this Operations Manual for setting up the board.
If the Wii Balance Board still does not work, follow the information at the bottom of this page.
2. Control of the Wii Balance Board is inconsistent or seems incorrect.
• Review the Instruction booklet for the game you are playing to make sure you are performing the
correct actions for that game.
• Make sure the board has been placed correctly (see page 6).
• Try using the Wii Balance Board foot extensions if you are using the board on carpet (see page 10).
• Make sure there are no people or other objects between you and the Sensor Bar.
• Avoid interference from other devices. If communication seems to be affected by other devices
(wireless LAN, microwave ovens, cordless devices, computers) move to another location if possible,
or turn off the interfering device.
If the Wii Balance Board still does not work, follow the information below.
If the Wii Balance Board still does not work, an operational check procedure is available
in the Options Menu of the game you are playing. See the Instruction booklet included
with the Game Disc for more information. If your Wii Balance Board does not operate
correctly after all of the above steps, visit support.nintendo.com for assistance and
additional troubleshooting and repair options or call 1-800-255-3700.
