Loses power in spin cycle

I replaced my pressure switch and I ran a wash with no clothes.Washer worked great. Put my first load of clothes in and its running great.(here's my problem) In the spin cycle, right before it hits max speed, the washer stops spinning and all the lights go out.
Is it the motor overloading? What should I do.

This is a front load washing machine.Door can't hit the timer. Door does lock and the drain is clear of obstruction.

First lid must be down before washer start spinning. Remove any obstructions in drain hose and or straighten drain hose to remove kinks. Lid or other object hit timer knob and turned the washer off - Make sure the Timer knob is pulled out.
If the lid was opened with too much force when adding clothes, it may have hit the timer knob, pushing the knob in.
If a laundry basket or other object hit the Timer knob, the Timer knob may have been pushed in shutting the washer off.
Washer lid is not locked (Not on All Washers) - The lid must be closed and locked for the washer to operate. Once the lid is closed, make sure the desired cycle is still selected and then press the Start button and listen for the lid to lock.
Make sure there are no loose metal objects such as coins and paper clips in the lid opening area. Metal objects can prevent magnetic switches from reacting correctly when the lid is closed.
If the washer has not drained, it will not go into spin.
Use a flashlight to inspect the holes in tub for foreign objects like screws, nails, bra wires, etc. and remove if present.

Whirlpool front load washer (W-WFC7500VW1) was ran through the clean cycle. After this was preformed, the washer will not spin the clothes the dry. The washer will spin but never reaches the 'higher' spin...

I suggest going on the Whirlpool manufacturers website and check their forums for a similar problem. It could very well be something very easy to fix.

No spin cycle

This is usually caused by the pressure switch. Here is a link with the other possible problems. To check the pressure switch follow the link to the video. http://appliancehelponline.com/topwashernospin.html

Maytag Neptune TL clothes still dripping wet after full cycle

Pump out time of 40 seconds sounds good.

No ND error code and you spin up to 850RPM which is max for the machine.

You have no standing water in the wash basket.... I'm scratching my head.

Could you do a Spin Only cycle with that same wet wash load and set the SPIN for Max Extract. After you start the Spin Only cycle put the machine in Service Mode and watch the RPM range. This cycle sets the display to 12 minutes. Let’s see if the wash load remains wet and what max RPM is reached.

""Maybe the pump is not turning on during the spin cycle?"" You have no standing water in the wash basket correct? I feel the pump is turning on or you would have standing water in the wash basket and the pressure switch would have never indicated an empty condition (Low Level pressure switch contacts) to the Control Board. The Control Board would have stopped the wash cycle with a ND for no drain error code.

The pump in the spin cycle will turn on a number of times see if you hear turn on in a Spin Only cycle

I just ran a Spin Only light wash load with about 5 gallons of water in the wash basket. Timer went to 12 min. I toggled into Service Mode to watch wash basket RPM. At about the 5 Min mark (toggle in and out of Service Mode) the wash basket reached 850RPM then a few minutes later it stepped down to 830RPM to end of Spin Only Cycle. You don’t have a water valve stuck open or you would flood/over flow of the machine. Did you here the drain pump turn on several times during the Spin Only cycle?

Washer will not spin

I fixed it yesterday. After checking the continuity of my lid switch and pressure switch and finding them ok I removed the tubing from the pressure switch and applied air (blew into it). There was a clog and blowing on it removed it for now. Apparently the pressure switch was telling the machine that the tub was full of water and wouldn't let it start the spin cycle. I ran three loads last night and it worked perfect. I may have to remove the connection on the side of the tub and clean it properly if it clogs again.

Amana dlw330 washer belt urned & broke again

Had the same problem on a machine I worked on. Changed the belt... was burnt and broken. Second time I replaced the belt, I ran it through all of the cycles and listened to it on SPIN cycle.. Although it's spinning.. it's making an extremely LOUD noise... It's the Spin bearing that is gone out. When a load is put in, and in spin cycle, the bearing is oveloaded..(being dry).. and putting extreme pressure on the motor and belt. When the drum reaches a point where the bearing just won't spin, the belt stops, and spins on the motor pulley, wearing it through.. (And smoking a great deal).. until it breaks.. again. I believe the top "Spin bearing" is about 75.00 or so.. and a BEAR to replace. Hope this helps

Washed clothes while on the 'clean washer' setting

I'm sure that the exact make up of clean washer or tub clean cycles vary from brand to brand, but basically that cycle fills to a higher water level, hottest water, and highest spin, turning off load sensors / out of balance sensors so the machine can spin with water in the tub (allowing tub cleaning agents to contact all tub surfaces). (all other cycles pump the water out before spinning) Having a load of clothes in the machine at this time could result in overloading machine (gererally causing an error code), damage to suspension components, damage to hoses or connections resulting in water leaks, etc. Due to the large water level, your clothes would be agitated more ****, but the hot water might damage some fabrics. A FixYa rating would be appreciated for this info. Thanks.

Whirlpool washer overflow during wash cycle

What you can try is to get the machine empty and remove the hose that connects the pressure hose to the switch and blow air through it to make sure it is clear, then tap on the nozzle where the hose connects on the switch to make sure it is also clear.

Kenmore 44092/spin cycle

It turns out that there was a sock stuck within the pump in the washing machine. I removed the back cover and removed all the excess water, because once the sock was removed, the water was free to escape. I just removed the hose that connects to the pump and felt the sock, and was able to remove it. Once I hooked everything back up, the washing machine ran great.

Doesn't spin the clothes dry on the final spin but spins at high revolutions without a load of clothes

I have read that if the pump is not draining the tub completely, there is an interlock that prevents the high speed spin from engagin. I have had debris caught in my pump several times (kids!!) with similar issues. There is a trap on the line leading from the tub to the pump which is "supposed" to capture debris, but it doesn't work all that well. Check your pump.....
