If your clock radio is more than two years years old it will be operating on the old changeover schedule, and there's no way that you can change the schedule. What you can do though, is turn the DST switch (if so equipped) to the OFF position and change the time manually. If yours is an "atomic" clock you can force the change by setting the clock to a different time zone. (I have an atomic clock that's set up on the old schedule. DST is OFF, and I change the zone between the Central and Eastern time zones.)

How do i reset the 24-hour time to 12-hour time on a Brookstone alarm clock

Dozens of models to choose from. All questions on Fixya need 'make model (what it is)' as the first 3 words.

Here are some guesses. The 'control cover' is where you put the back-up battery.

To change the 12/24 hour time format, open the CONTROL COMPARTMENT COVER on the bottom of the clock and adjust the 12/24 TIME FORMAT switch to the desired format .

How do I reset my Atomic clock?

Hello Ruth Anderson,

Atomic clocks... the whole point is they are self aware
(where their hands are... by virtue of sensors on the dial)
and can self adjust...
by virtue of UNIVERSAL TIME BROADCAST.

Depending on the MAKE & MODEL, There are a couple of pieces of DATA needed from the owner

- Time zone (relative global zone from GMT)
- Daylight Savings (yes/no)

Some USA national clocks only show "PT, MT, CT & ET"
For Pacific through Eastern time zones... My point being...

Without make & model I cannot exactly tell you how to input (& save) your geographic data.

Hopefully with the information I have provided you can de-cypher it yourself...

You MOST LIKELY need to run through this "SET-UP"
EVERY TIME you change a battery.

Hope this helps!

Electrolux Icon Oven self cleaning won't start- the lock button keeps flashing. Yes, the racks and rack holders are removed.

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that you are having trouble with your Electrolux Icon oven, model# E30SO75ESS, and running the self-clean cycle. I see that the lock button keeps flashing and that you have the racks and rack holders out. I suggest following the steps below to run your self-clean cycle:

    1) Place the rack holders and the racks in your oven.

    2) Reset your appliance, by shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes.

    3) Restore power.

    4) Reset the clock, by pressing the "Clock" button then press the number "2". Enter in the time of day, and then press the "Clock" button again.

    5) Start the self-clean cycle with the racks in your range. This is to make your oven recognize that the racks are in the oven.

    6) Take the racks and rack holders out and start the self-clean cycle again.

I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your oven status has changed successfully.

    -Best Regards-

Air bag light. On all the time

there is a device called a clock spring in your steering. it connects you air bag to the cpu and sensors, The clock spring is broken and needs changing. Its necessary cause it rotates freely and still keeps connection to your airbags. However it requires precise settings and its dangerous to install to do not attempt this your self. 1 mistake and your air bag will discharge in your face. Take it to a garage, have the clock sprint changed and error code reset and cleared.

How do I get my smart alarm clock to reset it's self automatically since the goverment changed the daylight savings time

Sorry, but the DST changes in your clock radio are calendar-based. If they were set for the old changeover dates there's no way to switch them. You'll need to adjust the time manually, and you'll have to do it four times a year - unless your clock has the option of turning off the automatic changes.

Changing the time

you can go to http://www2.oregonscientific.com/assets/manuals2/bar338pa.pdf to see or print the user's manual.

If you don't want to get the manual, here's what you do to fix it. . . . .
*note: you need to do this anytime you change the batteries.

1) open the battery cover
2) on the left side you'll see 3 little buttons labeled a)zone, b)C/F c)reset
3) push the reset
4)push the zone button until your time zone is highlighted on the front display
5) look at the front display & if you see a blinking "radio signal" icon at upper left of time numerals
don't do anything else. The time, date, etc. will automatically synchronize your clock with the US Atomic Clock. This could take up to 10 minutes. As long as the "radio signal" icon is blinking, it's working on it. When the icon doesnt' blink, it's set. Cool, huh?
6) if the area you live in can't receive the signal from the Atomic Clock, instead of a blinking "radio signal", you'll see just a bare antennae. Since you probably set your clock manually, that's what it shows now before you do anything.
7) after you push reset & set the time zone do NOT touch any other buttons to set anything!!! (I know it's difficult to leave things alone, but just sit on your hands). Pushing the "clock" button or the up & down arrows will stop the radio signal & change to manual functions. Look at the signal icon mentioned in 5) and 6) above. If you only have the bare antennae icon. . . . . go ahead & set the time/date yourself. You have no signal.

Enjoy your clock!
