Have a husqvarna yth2448 mower. When you turn the key it clicks one time then you have to turn the key to off position and it will click again. Is this the starter or some other problem?

be sure your battery is fully charged. or put a new one in. try it now. if it still does it test the solenoid. check all grounds and connections. it takes time but it is an easy fix. there is a short somewhere. battery, connections., grounds, solenoid,. if you think it is the starter you can put a ground from the engine block to the ground on a good battery and a hot from the starter post to the hot on a good battery and it should try to start. but normally it is not the starter

I got a 89 bronco II and it wont start. Its got a new battery. I jumped out the starter relay and the starter engaged. So thats good. Also the relay clicks when you turn the key. Also checked the...

Im not sure what you mean by I jumped out the starter relay and the starter engaged.
so i am going to assume that you jumped from the battery side to the starter side on the relay and that engaged the starter... which is fine but you say the relay clicks when u turn the key. Pull off the clip on wire from the relay and push it against the battery side connection on the relay (u may need a small screwdriver to assist the connection) the relay should cause the starter to engage. If it just clicks (my bet) then you need to replace the relay (its really called a solenoid )

Will not Start

There won't be any voltage going to the starter until the key is turned to 'start' with the brake locked down. And to check that, you need to disconnect the wire to the starter. I would first check the current going to the solenoid when the switch is turned to start by disconnecting the insulated wire going to the bottom of the solenoid and hooking a test light or voltmeter to it and turn key to start. Again the clutch/brake pedal has to be held/locked down. If there is power going to the solenoid but not to the starter, it's a bad solenoid. Hope I've explained this so you can understand. Dwain
